I'll take the US department of energy's word for it Bill if you don't mind.
im sorry you would believe the government over somebody who bought a diesel becuse it was way cheaper then Regualr and got a big powerful truck with good gas mileage.the whole focus was on the gas and im promise you In texas the diesel was cheaper two years ago.

its in a 12 month all year low

Finally cheaper than gas in our neighborhood: Regular Unleaded $1.89... Diesel $1.86.

Still around 2.20 here in the Northwest. Hopefully we'll see it lower then gas sometime soon, but I doubt it.
I call BS too. Here in CA a few months ago I paid $1.84... now I am paying $2.09.. and that is BEFORE our legislation passed a 12 cent per gallon tax increase.
$2.19 here in WI

It's a national average and trust me we watch the price of diesel thats what we sell.
average smaverage ,i know in Texas we get less expensive gas at times then the ntional average but i do know for a fact that diesel prices were alot cheaper here in texas june-august 2007 .they were 1.68 and right now 2.04 so not all time low here bro, just stating facts
$1.89 in S.W. Houston TX.
My bad "bro" I said it was a national average and you called it "bs" I wasn't able to infer from that, that you meant just Texas. I provided to different legitimate sources but maybe I should just take the word of a guy that "bought a diesel because it was way cheaper then Regular and got a big powerful truck with good gas mileage"

gas?

just paid 1.89 about 2 hours ago on the Virginia/Tennessee line. Thats a lot better than $4.89 from the peak of the summer. Gotta love $48 for a fill up instead of $115.
