Super Sac'r - Wakeworx ballast
 

I tried to find some reviews on this product, but was unsuccessful.
Does anyone have this installed on their boat to fill extra ballast instead of using classic tsunami pumps?
I'm thinking about adding this to a boat to make filling a bow walk thru sac easier.

I don't see any reason that it would not work very well. It is basically the same as most factory installed reversible pump systems with a quick disconnect hose. Tried and true components arranged in a convenient way.

It looks a lot cleaner than throwing a pump over the side. I'm also assuming you wouldn't have any priming issues since it's hooked up to a through hull.
If you have to put a walk through sack in and can't plumb it all in, I'd say this would be a good option to clean up the process and add some convenience.

Downside when compared to over the side style pump would be adored. 600gph (or whatever it is) vs 1100gph.

Although, convenience would be a deciding factor for me.

I did that years ago. Works great for surf sacs and a sac in the bow.

Heck, I was more interested in this Mussel Mast_R device that filters the water before going into the ballast bags.

You can probably build that yourself pretty easily too.

I have a jabsco ballast puppy under the bow with a switch under the dash. The hose has about 8' of slack so I can fill a sack anywhere in the boat. Works pretty well but I needed to add a valve on the end so the water in the hose did not leak into the storage compartment.

I've never used that system, but my primary criticism just on design is that it uses those fly high quick connect fittings. Everyone who has ever hand filled a bag with a tsunami pump knows that the hose pops out of that fitting at the least opportune time. and that's just with one fitting. Now you are going to have two of them (one on either end of the hose). I'd prefer to see a flo rite fitting that can be locked when in service.

I had one on my previous boat and it worked great. I especially liked the hose attachment that you can use to clean out the bottom of your boat. Great idea.

I plan on getting those as well. But since I'm going to have a total of 6 through-hull jabsco pumps, i dont know where i would be able to fit those mussel mastrs.
Definitely a neccessity though since my home lake has zebra mussels and cleaning ballast is a huge pain
