Was wondering if there has been any major changes between the slingshot boards for the 09 model year. I am pretty set on getting a recoil but am not sure if the 09 is worth spending an extra $100 on when the 08's are on sale. I was also wondering if you guys think the recoil 142 would be big enough for me or if i should go with the response 145( im 6'2" and 210lbs). <BR>thanks

Im about your size less 20 lbs. I rode the recoil 142 for a long time and now have switched to the Response 142. Both are amazing. The 09 recoil's are totally different from the 08's. The response is slightly different. I would go with the 09 stuff.

I ride the 142 and I weigh 250lbs. It rides perfect for me.

i havent ridden the new stuff....but i love my 07 recoil

Yeah the 09 Recoil is way different than previous years. Im 6'4 and weigh 200 and ride the 142 Recoil. I would really like to try the 145 Response though. The 09's have a wider stance which is a huge difference for us tall guys.

The Dura Base will slide better than our other bases. <BR> <BR> * HDLW (High Density Light Weight) PVC rails and tips --> The HDLW PVC Rails and tops are made from a very high quality PVC. Its Tunable by smoothing the sharp edge. The more you round it you create more drag on the board. This makes the board ride slower. Also, if you smack the PVC rail, you can repair it with epoxy. You can customize all our boards to ride how you want it to ride. <BR> <BR> * Tapperwall --> This not only gives the board a different look, but it makes it ride smoother in the water. <BR> <BR> * Binding Inserts --> There are the same number of inserts, but we made the stance wider. Its about 2 inches wider than the 07-08 boards. <BR> The industry changed the 2 hole pattern. The inserts are closer together, so if you have a 09 board by any wake company, older boots will not fit. If you buy 09 Slingshot boots and you have an 08 or older board by any other wake company, we can hook you up with a adapter plate so the boots fit. ok i think i will get the 09 recoil. But i have a pair of 07 Watsons and with the new inserts will they fit? Also, does having slingshot boots make a big difference in the flex of the board?
