What are some names that come to mind when you think of our fallen brothers...Let's take a moment to remember. <BR>Digit 3, Mantra, Spoon...(i can think of more, just leavin the door open.)

"Iconn" <BR> <BR>heh, I've got one! <BR> <BR>my neighbor was working a job at this guys house and the guy had dozens of their boards laying around. he used to work for them he said. he gave him one and then he turned around and gave it to me. lol. went down to wileys and had them slap on some double ups and fins for my wife. it's actually not a bad little board. super light.

byrd 08-17-2006 10:04 AM

My first board was a WakeTech. The third time I rode it, the lamination peeled like a banana. I took it back and got a DU Nelson 138. The Nelson is hinging in my 5 yr old son's room. My hoe the times have changed in only 10 years....

BadAss - The used to sell Astrodeck, it was great stuff. <BR>Krown - They tried to come back, not sure what happend though. <BR>Toyota boats - bad timing, they came in with ski boats when the world had switched to wakeboarding. <BR>Cobalt inboard boats - This was the old Hydrodyne hull i think. <BR>Ten Foot Pole - I still see a few of the Ten Foot Towers on boats once in a while. <BR>Hippo automatic ballast systems <BR>T3 Towers - remember when Jim Jones? <BR>Neptune boards. <BR>FWT Fresh Water Traction - I still have a set of these. <BR>FM Free Motion - Last time i saw one it was in sporting goods superstore. <BR>Oshima Gun - Wake Clothing <BR>Lonestar wakeboard camp <BR>Wakecentral.com <BR>C&amp;C Creations board racks

Wow, I guess I haven't been around long enough.

hal2814 08-17-2006 11:15 AM

I still remember riding the WakeTech Magic Air and working towards saving up enough money to buy the FullTilt Megaman. I saw the Megaman in a wakeboard magazine at the time and wanted it so badly. I never did get one. I ended up with an O'Brien instead. <BR> <BR>And don't forget Hyperlite. They were great until all their pros left. (Oops, I need to wait a few years before posting that one. ) <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/wink.gif" border=0>

juiced4ever 08-17-2006 11:16 AM

Do you guys remember 3 thirteen clothing from a few years ago? I remember them doing a wakeskate shoe too. Just thinking. <BR> <BR>Oh and Collective Development is supposed to be coming back as a bag company next year. We will see.

thor 08-17-2006 11:18 AM

wakeboarding pants. Now those were cool.

jarrod 08-17-2006 12:15 PM

Maybe Rainbow is still doing okay.....but product wise, Bones have to be somewhat obsolete.

dr_inc 08-17-2006 12:22 PM

i cant believe all you delta people forgot funded tech boards.. i think they are gone all the riders went to krown

pierce_bronkite 08-17-2006 12:47 PM

Bones, hahah forgot agout those! I remember I rode with a dude way back in the day and swore that those helped his riding.

ttrigo 08-17-2006 12:51 PM

I still have a couple of those old rainbow "surf dog" fins lying around. the neptune impala was a sweet board.

solo 08-17-2006 12:54 PM

What ever happened to the Lock nuts. You know the twisty fold down type?

fbroen 08-17-2006 12:58 PM

Thought about lok nutz, but wasn't sure they were gone -- thought they may be supplying LF since their bindings come with the same dealio.

jonfo 08-17-2006 1:00 PM

Weren't they just called Lokz?

fbroen 08-17-2006 1:07 PM

That's probably right.

jjakober 08-17-2006 1:44 PM

What about the Original <b>"WakeList"</b> it was before wakeworld.com and wakeboarder.com. Nothing but an E-Mail list dedicated to wakeboarding, it was sweet and the conversations seemed a little more adult then most of what goes on now-a-days. <BR> <BR>jjakober

dococ 08-17-2006 1:58 PM

I can't believe somebody else said Oshima Gun, now that's obscure! <BR>How about Insane wakeboards, the team whose goal was to sign the hottest female riders. <BR> <BR>Oh yeah and how about (FWT) Fresh Water Traction? I still have some of those things, right next to my Core wakeboard. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by dococ on August 17, 2006)

bill 08-17-2006 2:49 PM

JJ im sure you know that the wakelistr ,BTW i was on that, was run and created by Pat M the same guy who now runs wakeboarder.com so its not dead its just evolved <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0> <BR> <BR>IMO it was the one place that single handedly brought together the first events and groups of wakeboarders that led us to becoming communities..

solo 08-17-2006 2:51 PM

Is Boss still producing towers? I know a few of those guys left Boss and started Fusion Towers. <BR> <BR>Fowler, Love the profile pic! Still rippin I assume. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by solo on August 17, 2006)

They are called Hydrocide now.

electricsnow 08-17-2006 3:57 PM

BROS! Because some of you listed off this stuff... <BR> <BR>messer's the man, and he still judges wakeskate comps... <BR> <BR>Epic shoes are obscure...my favorite companies I'm interested in one way or another would include NBN, thruster, wake tech, FM, K2, Sano, rusty wakeboards, solbound, wake ski, surf alley, fresh water traction, blah blah blah...EDIT: ok, we'll add amuzement technologies, in honor of scott jobe and his entrepreneueral spirit. <BR> <BR>but some oldie moldies would be like olson, those stewart barton boards, and lance brugg had some company that I wanted a board from (not back then, now), but I can't remember the name anymore. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/358303.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/358304.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR> <BR>(Message edited by electricsnow on August 17, 2006)

What about the Hyperlite snowboard?

bigrich 08-17-2006 4:08 PM

I still have 2 Wake Tech Flight 69 boards that we use as guest boards on my boat. 1 is a 143 guys board and the other 134 chicks board. Talk about dinosaur. I remember buying the 143 with the Gravity Pro bindings which were top of the line at the time. Now I can just laugh about them.

joshugan 08-17-2006 4:10 PM

I have a pair of Rusty Bindings that we still use. We use them as girl bindings because they're great no frills bindings. Just used them on Tuesday as a matter of fact!

bigrich 08-17-2006 4:38 PM

OK so when do we start the wakeboard museum. Lets make some money of this crap. LOL

jonfo 08-17-2006 4:41 PM

Didnt Tommy from Tommy's surf in FL already start doing that? I remember at once point he was asking for old memorabilia items.
