Have a 2009 Moomba Outback. <BR> <BR>I love this boat and just have to tell the world. <BR> <BR>In my opinion this has to be thee best cross over boat in the Moomba stable <BR> <BR>'09 is definetly truly flexible. <BR> <BR>In ~7 minutes (ballast emptying time for 1200lbs) you can go from a fantastic surf boat to a really decent ski boat and then quickly set up for a really good wakeboarding/wakekiting boat. <BR> <BR>And not one extra ballast bag needed to do any of this. <BR> <BR>If you choose the options carefully, the boat comes direct from the factory ready to do any water sport that you can think of. <BR> <BR>It's also just under 20' in length! <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/697514.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/697515.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR> <BR>(Message edited by Ed_G on May 18, 2009)

We have an 07 and love it. IMO it was the best price point boat in 07' the only boat I see beating it is the axis boat but thats wakeboard specific it seems. We just added some more weight after stock and the wakes HUGE! it looks like the re-designed the hull for 09' too <BR> <BR>(Message edited by adambarry on May 18, 2009)

Nice looking boat! My first boat was a Moomba and served me well. Great bang for the buck!

kraig 05-18-2009 3:14 PM

My first new boat was a Moomba Outback as well (2002) and I loved it! It was a great boat, I didn't have any issues. It was my starter boat, I then upgraded to the XLV, in my profile. <BR> <BR>That surf wake looks huge! Very impressed coming from a boat that is good for skiing as well.

texasmoombav 05-18-2009 3:19 PM

I have an 09 Outback as well, and am also completly Thrilled with the boat. I traded up from an 00 Outback direct drive and its like night and day difference. How was your ballast setup for surfing in that picture?

formfunction 05-18-2009 6:30 PM

brainrinse 05-18-2009 8:14 PM

That surf wake from a 20 ft boat?! NICE.

denwbaseball 05-19-2009 5:11 AM

well done!

moombadaze 05-19-2009 5:18 AM

On my 2nd Moomba myself, 1st was a 03 mobius lsv and now have a 08 mobius lsv. Personaly just feel Skiers Choice has stepped up there game big time. If your in the market for a new or newer boat you should check them out. Just wanted to say I love this boat.

hillbilly 05-19-2009 8:37 AM

Good looking boat Ed. I like my 07 LSV also, Except my damn docking lights leak. But they are almost covered in water while picking up the rider so that could be part of it lol.

ed_g 05-19-2009 9:41 AM

yep, that surf wake is produced just with the front 300 lb sac and a 750 lb sac in the corner. <BR> <BR>Speed = 9.8 MPH. <BR> <BR>4 people inside the boat (including driver) <BR> <BR>The '09 Outback V was designed with surfing in mind

zo1 05-19-2009 10:17 AM

I love mine too... <BR> <BR>You can ask my neighbors about the wake as I roll past them with 2500 lbs of water in there...

bfnaci 05-19-2009 4:14 PM

04 Mobius LSV with 800 hrs on it, still going strong. <BR>This poor boat has been towing around 2000lbs of ballast for 4 years, people still ask me if its new....haha Great boat.

dubwake21 05-20-2009 7:28 AM

+1 for Moomba <BR> <BR>2008 Outback V

04outback 05-21-2009 11:38 AM

Luv my 06 LSV! Hoping to put some serious hours on it this weekend.

goinbigg17 05-21-2009 1:39 PM

Beautiful boat! I have been looking at those recently as they do offer a great price. The color choice is nice too!

ttduncan 05-21-2009 6:36 PM

we love our 08 LSV! family and friends can do all we want.

wakeitnofakeit 05-21-2009 6:50 PM

Nice Boat. I would have gotten a Wakecraft if I was you, but if you like it enjoy. The right boat is the one loved by its owner, boats are like dogs.

05mobiuslsv 05-21-2009 6:54 PM

^^^^OMG he's at it again.

hatepain 05-21-2009 7:17 PM

I love Dan Dulong and his passion for WakeCrap boats. Just kidding they're probably really nice and couldn't have a better ambassador!

brainrinse 05-21-2009 7:19 PM

The Wakecraft dealer says to buy a Wakecraft... shocking.

04outback 05-21-2009 7:23 PM

Dan.. enuff of the wakekraft marketing. This post was not the place. See the message at the top of the Wakesurfing forum. You have long since been outed as Wakekraft dealer. You get NO CRED when you do that.

goinbigg17 05-21-2009 7:52 PM

Ed, what model did you get? The Moomba website isn't great at saying what comes standard on their boats.

scottman 05-21-2009 7:57 PM

We have an 06 Outback V. Great value at the time, still gives me a big grin when I hit the water...

ed_g 05-22-2009 9:26 AM

Nick, sorry. <BR> <BR> I see I forgot to add the "V" to Outback. <BR> <BR>I got the 2009 Moomba Outback V. <BR> <BR>Dan DuLong... I'm sure the Wakecraft is a terrific boat, but I just don't find them very visually appealing. <BR> <BR>I'm on my 2nd Moomba. I'm a Moomba owner for life. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by Ed_G on May 22, 2009)

goinbigg17 05-22-2009 1:08 PM

No problem, thanks!

razzman 05-22-2009 2:07 PM

I'm real happy with mine as well, '07 LSV (see profile pic) and while it's a great boat and does everything i want real well i'll fall just a bit short of a shoutout for my love of my boat, it is after all just a boat ... sorry Ed <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/rofl.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR>Dan, as for Wakecraft the first one i saw at a show over a year ago i thought it was cool at first. Then i really started looking at it and climbed in, it feels small and cramped to me. Way too much emphasys on extra stuff like a bow shower? C'mon, who really would use a bow shower? And that tower setup, well i'll leave it at that. And that transom looks way to busy. And ...

ed_g 05-22-2009 3:29 PM

I looked at the Wakecraft website and noticed that there was a statement bragging about how two surfers could surf off the back of one of their boats equipped with just the stock ballast... and the public would be hard pressed to find another brand of boat available that could do that. <BR> <BR>Well...you certainly can with the 2009 Outback V and I've seen photos of two surfers surfing behind a Tige that was running with NO ballast. <BR> <BR>Marketing folks can come up with the craziest things to dwell on <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0>

razzman 05-22-2009 4:16 PM

Ain't that the truth. My question is why would you want to do that? It's hard enough keeping track of one rider is doing nonetheless two!

ed_g 05-23-2009 3:22 AM

I guess you haven't tried it yet! <BR> <BR> It's much fun for the surfers (competition thing to see who can stay up the longest, who can spray the other surfer best, etc) and not at all a chore for the driver/observer.

seark 05-24-2009 1:08 PM

I've gotta agree, Moomba is a great boat and even greater value. I've got on 07 Mobius LS and it does everything that I want it to do, wake, ski or surf. Has the stock Gravity III ballast system/wakeplate and Perfect Pass.

tsteeb 05-24-2009 1:59 PM

i really like these all black boats you guys have <BR>does anyone have one with the graphics stripped off <BR>i think that would look sweet <BR>moomba, nice boats for sure

newty 05-24-2009 6:15 PM

Not all black but close! Oh and I love my Moomba too! 08' LSV <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/699403.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/699404.jpg" alt="Upload">

kraig 05-24-2009 7:03 PM

Give me your opinion guys, should I de-graphic my black XLV?? I've been wanting to do it for a while and I'm right at the point where I'm ready to do it. Check out my profile pic. <BR> <BR>Love the look Newty!!

99_slaunch 05-24-2009 7:34 PM

Newty <BR>Your boat looks SICK!!! <BR> <BR>Kraig <BR>What are you waiting for yank those decals. Your boat would look sweet with no decals IMO. Post up some pics when your done.

newty 05-24-2009 8:47 PM

Agreed Kraig Your boat would look great naked. For less than $500 u can get a set of wheels too! Imo the wheels make the look of the boat on the trailer. <BR><a href="http://www.trailer-wheels.com/search.asp?keyword=transformer&amp;search=GO" target="_blank">http://www.trailer-wheels.com/search.asp?keyword=transformer&amp;search=GO</a> <BR>Aaron I've got a blue Silverado that would match your boat, and I'll trade you for that ugly black dodge.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/wink.gif" border=0> I've been wanting a black crew for a while. Great looking set-up.

99_slaunch 05-24-2009 8:58 PM

HAHA!! Thanks. I wanted a blue Dodge. It would of matched perfect but the wife said she liked black better. So I got a new truck and she got to pick the color.

newty 05-24-2009 9:18 PM

Fair enough! I had to try.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/biggrin.gif" border=0> <BR>At least you got the truck. <BR>Like I said, I'd love to go buy a new truck, but when the conversation comes up the wife always brings me back to reality. The truck I have has been awesome with no issues ever. Its a little inconvenient having the extra cab vs. the crew cab and its the wrong color. I guess she's right. For the 5-10 times I actually pull with it is it really worth it? Besides we have a Charcoal Tahoe we use to pull when we have the kids. I think back when I was a kid my folks, sister, and I used to travel 1000's of miles pulling a boat in a reg cab pick-up. Talk about cramped. Of course we didn't need car seats then either. <BR> <BR>And the extra cab is inconvenient<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/crazy.gif" border=0>

tsteeb 05-24-2009 9:43 PM

That is a damn good looking boat Newty

ed_g 05-25-2009 4:59 AM

"Make no mistake about it, there’s an athlete in every Moomba boat. From the Team Moomba riders who dominate competitive wakeboarding at the highest levels, to the everyday Moomba owners—from six to sixty years old—who simply want to show off their talent with every ride. With their innovative styling, luxurious interiors, superior construction and unsurpassed wake performance, Moomba boats are engineered to unleash everyone’s inner athlete. That’s why Moomba – and Moomba riders – have been at the top of the inboard industry since 1980. Always strive for a personal best. Always reach new heights. Always soar to new levels. Leave a wake wherever you go. That’s the Moomba spirit."

newty 05-25-2009 7:19 PM

Ed does your wife know you have a questionable relationship with moomba or Martha?<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/biggrin.gif" border=0>

lancesaville 05-26-2009 11:38 PM

Love my Moomba too. I've got a loaded 09 Mobius LSV. Lime and Black. It's the green monstah. <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/700069.jpg" alt="Upload"> <BR> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/700070.jpg" alt="Upload">

Nice boats guys! <BR> <BR>You guys are killing me! Went and looked today, wish I could pull the trigger on a new '08 model. They seem to be discounted pretty well at my local dealer.

lancesaville 05-27-2009 6:31 PM

Economy's in the crapper, if you have good credit and are looking for a boat now's the time. Buyer's market, BIG TIME. <BR> <BR>Were you looking at a Mobius or an Outback Nick?

brock. <BR>Love the colors and graphics... Beautiful boat.

goinbigg17 05-27-2009 9:40 PM

Lance, I was looking at the Outback. The guy said they are selling the 08 d-drive for about $27k right now, very well equipped and the v-drive for about $32k. If I didn't just buy a house I would have a new boat sitting in my driveway tonight. Hopefully by the time boat show comes around next January I will be placing an order. <BR> <BR>On a side note, my fiance freaked out when she saw the catalog sitting on the couch when she came home. She wasn't sure if she should believe me or not.

wakeitnofakeit 05-27-2009 10:57 PM

All of these boats look great. Thanks for the feedback guys. Like I said boats are like dogs, if you love it then take it home.

formfunction 05-28-2009 6:17 AM

Thanks bweb, the white rubrail scares me a bit but I am sure it could be replaced if it gets discolored.

tomcat22 05-28-2009 8:37 AM

lance nice boat. really like the new color combo.

newty 05-28-2009 5:00 PM

Thanks Dan, but if wakecraft were a dog, this is kinda how I imagine it. A face only a dealer... oh wait a mother could love.<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/rofl.gif" border=0> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/700732.jpg" alt="Upload">
