Wheel help!!!
1 Attachment(s)
I had some wheels brought in for my trailer that I really liked but they are to wide 8". I was made to understand that they were 7" but thats another story. Any way they have a +10mm offset where as the stocks are 0. Question: I want to be sure to cover up the buddy bearing with whatever cap comes with the wheel as well as clear my wheel wheel. What do I need a negative offset? Stay nuetral? Let me know what you guys have done. I need a solution.
This was the rim: |
Can't remember the offset, but i know the tire guys said it is the same size as what would fit a ford ranger. That might help if you call a tire shop and see if they can tell you the proper offset etc, based upon that.
That is a sweet wheel! |
LOL, thanks Digg's ( I appreciate you chiming in) but thats what I was using as a sizing guide :) I think if I can find one I like in a negative offset it will push it far enough out as the rims posted above would be rubbing on the inside.
Anyone else? |
I had a set that rubbed on the inside and I pulled the inside fender wall off and was fine. Another time, I put a spacer where the fender board (wall) attaches to the fender and it was perfect....

Hmm, those might be decent solutions. I'll look into that.

lots of tire guys heavily frown on spacers, you lose thread length as well.
