Check out the shop inside Cope & McPhetres (I know, I know). I think it is Boarders Paradise?? They have a pretty good demo program. I am pretty sure for $150 you get ten one-day demos. Then, if you buy a board from them, they put the $150 towards the board you are buying... Not too bad of a deal...

Go to Hot H2O in Sacramento. Good prices and great customer service.

dakid 06-12-2006 9:14 PM

surf and skate doesn't have demo programs. in fact, a guy there told me that all norcal shops did away w/ demo programs 'cause "they don't work."

attila916 06-12-2006 10:06 PM

Thanks, does Hot H2O have carry CWB?

Atilla...I was in the same situation as you and I live in Sac as well. I actually work at Surf and Skate and am sorry to say that we dont demo boards as of yet. Water Ski World behind one of our stores does demo but they have a very limited selection. Hot H2O does not demo either, but Ultimate Watersports off of Folsom Blvd does demo and the guys there are cool as hell. I know for a fact they have an Absolute to demo...hit em up! 916-635-2628

Hey Attila, go check out the DWC boardshop and take the board out for a ride to see if you like it. As far as I know they are the only shop that is right on the water with a demo program. You could pull up, launch your boat, demo the board and buy it when you come back in if you like it. If you don't like it then roll back over and grab something else to try. They are only about 2 minutes from a killer riding spot.

Also, super easy to find, right off I-5 in stockton area.
