Club grant! Can't wait to see the new 6X9's go in.

Here is a video of my color chasing RGB's. This is the first phaze in a huge LED swap out with my boat. My boat has a ton of RED led's. Most of the lights are made into that parts that hold the LED's So the parts need to either be re-made or simply taken out and the fixture enlarged to hold the larger LED strip and then re installed. I have been testing these LED's and controllers for a few months non stop and decided they were good to go. The controller can be swapped out down the line if I find one that will run more programs or do more things. This one has 22 programs and a bunch more settings than I will ever use. I have been posting some of my work on You tube and in my W/W profile so if your intresting in setting your boat up with some lights check out My you tube video's or picks in my profile. There should be enough information to get you going.

Elevating the bar high and higher. Way to go Grant

Does your you tube videos mention were you sourced the parts. There are so many players that sell this stuff and I want to make sure that we get the good stuff.

I got the RGB's from a guy in San Jose. The company is called Vas-tech 408 786 7699 The guy's name is William. !!!!!Disclamer!!!!
IMO if you know your stuff then getting product from William is cool otherwise go with a company with customer support. I know my way around LEDS pretty good and with William there is NO CUSTOMER support. If you have a problem your own your own. Don't expect a owners manual or how to or anytype of help if your stuck or need a return your S.O.L. It works for me because he is local and I can work around problems that the average guy cant. I wish I could give him 2 thumbs up to my wake world peep's. So if you get stuff and you have a problem you have been warned. I wish there was a more user friendly RGB led product / supplyer.

Hey grant, when are you getting your wetsounds 6x9's?

hatepain 05-05-2010 5:30 PM

Pretty cool. So were you changing anything on the controls while that was going on or was it just a set program?

soundbox 05-05-2010 11:06 PM

NIce job Grant. Love the color chasing.

jonyb 05-06-2010 7:05 AM

Looks awesome Grant. I looked up Vas-Tech and found their site. Any idea what they sell the 16' rolls for?

grant_west 05-06-2010 7:20 AM

Jacob: I don't know
hate: I was changing it but it has a program that moves threw ALL patterns and you can change the speed of the fades and swoops
Ben; Thanks
John: I think they are around $70

Hey Just a early FYI We are gonna do 2 BUMP event's at Tulloch June 19th And Aug 14th. One of the things we are gonna do is a "Light the Night" comp. Underwater LED and Boat Light comp get your lights installed

jonyb 05-06-2010 8:19 AM

$70 for a 16' roll? Is that the color chasing or RGB? Or are they all RGB, just a different controller?

grant_west 05-06-2010 8:53 AM

$ 70 for the roll
$65 for the controller

jonyb 05-06-2010 8:55 AM

Is this the part number? VLS5060RGB150-12

grant_west 05-06-2010 10:41 AM

My controller has the number
IL-CTRL-SVIS-09

grant_west 05-06-2010 10:42 AM

My controller is a 9 volt controller you will need a 9 volt to 12 converter

jonyb 05-06-2010 11:35 AM

Was that the correct part number for the lights?

mendo247 05-11-2010 4:30 PM

Cant wait to see this project finished... I can only imagine... Nice work as always

rebelman10 05-11-2010 4:43 PM

Hey G, That looks like a bumper to my truck, where does the speaker go? That is awsome dude.

grant_west 05-11-2010 6:22 PM

John: I don't know the lights don't have a part number on them.
Coop: I have a bunch more led lights threw out the boat. Every LED in the boat is getting swapped out and some new stuff is getting put back in its place.
