Optima battery question

Just out of curiousity. Why is that whenever you see/hear someone using Optimas they seem to have 4,5, or more of them? Seems kinda rediculous to have to spend that much on a batteries when there are much better batteries out there (spec wise) to only need 2-3. Plus, IMO, the price for the Optimas compared to others.

Apparently, they don't need maintenance and are a lot more durable and resistant.

I went with two 6v 232ah us batteries for 200$... Best bang for the buck in my opinion.

I went with 3 Optimas because I got them for a good price and I was able to get this nice billet box for them. The 3 Optimas take up less room than 3 standard 31s in battery boxes.
