I noticed that Costco in Tracy CA has a Jobe wakeboard/binding combination for $199.

I did not get the specifics, but maybe someone else on this board has...

...maybe a good source for a boat board.
you got the hottest truck,& the hottest boat on the water ,now your going to settle for a board @ costco for $199

dakid 06-06-2005 1:26 PM

better than to settle for a moose board and bindings (straps) for what, $400+?

ttrigo 06-06-2005 1:47 PM

"bro price of $507.00".

I figure if costco sells it for $199, its probably $299 at a regular store.

I also figure that some people could use an "boat" board to keep visitors out of your favorite setup.

I'd get it for a house board.I just put a set up together for about 150 used.I don't want nobody else in my bindings no more!

Good thing with Costco you can always take it back for what ever reason andg et your money back as long as you have your receipt. I love costco's return policy.

Cosco puts a lote of time and money into the sport you love. For the hundred extra bucks just support your local shop. Those are the guys that have been get you the cool boards since day one. When they are gone all you will be able to ride is the low end crap.

But maybe they'll give you a cool Cosco sticker for your board and boat.

i agree...go get something from someone actually in the wakeboard business. there are tons of 04 closeouts right now... www.grizzly-sports.com support the sport you love and give the love back to the shops and dealers that keep on keepin' on.

If it falls apart, will Costco take care of the warranty and hand you a new one?

paublo 06-08-2005 7:42 AM

Costco will take anything back at any time for any reason. That policy was recently changed to not include computer equipment.

With that being said, I would still buy from a board shop or dealer. For my latest "boat board" I picked up a new Motive with Split bindings for $210 about 6 months ago. And the Hyperlite warrantee is nearly as good as Costco. But I have to confess that I buy my vests from Costco- $39 for neoprene is just too good to pass up.

As long as Costco has the product in their computers (not your specific sale, just the UPC), and you have more than 50% of the product, they'll take it back. Doesn't matter how long its been or if you have the receipt. Without the receipt, they'll give you the lowest price in their computer.

Support your local shops PLEASE. We need to keep the little money that is in the sport, in the sport!

socalwakepunk 06-15-2005 4:31 PM

A buddy who works at Costco told me that they recently had a wheelbarrow returned. It was 11 years old, looked like high mileage, but they still took it back, full refund.

That being said, support your local shop. Still some very good deals to be had. Even worth an extra $10 or $20 to know that you are supporting someone who gives to the sport.

Sounds like a good source for a slider board. Bust the hell out of it & then return her before she sinks.

gruelie 06-15-2005 5:43 PM

i would not buy a wakeboard from a place that also sells urns and caskets

magellan 06-15-2005 8:32 PM

Funny you should mention the Hyperlite warranty deal as Hyperlite is the company selling the boards to Costco.
