Hey, I just upgraded from a 2001 foam belmont 140, to a 2004 Parks DNA. It is taking me a while to get used to the board though. With the Belmont, I found that I usually popped best when I flattened out a bit, right before the peak of the wake. With the Parks I think it is a little different, I think you have to cut all the way through the wake a little more, but I am not really sure. Any tips to help me learn to get a more consistant pop would be greatly apprecitated. Thanks

I have the same problem with my brother in law's parks 138. He can get a pop out of it - I cant. The basic rule is to always edge up through the wake and have tension on the line but you probably already know that.

More weight on your front foot and edge all the way through the wake.

Edge all the way up the wake, and stand tall. you will know when you have it right, cuz you will get some scary pop!

I have let people ride my parks that normally ride continuous rocker boards, and they all seem to have the same problem.
When the parks grabs on the cut in, it grabs hard. It causes people to ease off of their edge by the time they get to the wake. My usual advice for them is to cut really far out and ease into their approach painfully slow, and keep less of an angle and focus on keeping the edge. The first try with that process usually results in huge air, dropping the rope and flailing like a cat being thrown out of a 2 story window.

by the way.....now you have to change your name!

LOL exactly, that first real hit on a Parks board is a killer!!!I have seen that many times!

I love mine, once you get used to it, it's killer. You can go out 3 or 4 feet from the wake and clear it easily with the right cut and edging! Just pops you straight up and lands so nice!

Yeah, when I first got my Parks, it spooked me... Then I popped real good, landed on my ear (didn't puncture it, but bruised it pretty good), now I am a little gun shy, and I am having problems cutting through the wake!!!

When i switch from my premier to my buddys parks. The first couple jumps i get pulled a little forward, cause the fins grab longer than my premier. I cut up through the wake a split second longer and that works great. I don't know why but i see the most difference in pop on my toeside jumps with the parks.
