I have not really been following this board shape, but my wife swears by it. She wants to go a bit longer for better landings. It will probably help her since she's 5'11" and she's riding a 134. So, if I wanted a new Motive 140 what is the best alternative or what other shape has this board morphed into?

i'm not sure if the 140 will be available for '07, but i'm willing to bet you can get a good deal on an '06 now.

check out http://www.boardstop.com/. i believe they have it in stock. ask for ed and tell him i sent you. he'll take care of you.

Did someone tell you the Motive was going away? It would seem odd if they got rid of it considering it's versatility.
|
For 06 it's still the Motive, and the Divine for the gals.
|
Just don't see it around very much any more, does anyone still ride this shape?
|
I know a couple of guys that ride it as their main board (myself included), and many that use them for boat boards.

i use a motive for my slider board...good basic shape

I'm riding the 05 Motive, this year I just swaped out the stock fins and put on the P-Wing 1.2. Feels like I just bought a new board. The Hyperlite fins are sick.

2007 Motive series. Not pictured are the two smallest sizes which have the same graphics as last year...I think.

edit: photo cred goes to dave w.

(Message edited by scott_a on October 11, 2006)
