I used the 750 on each side, plumed them with separate switches works perfect for surfing but forever to plane with them full so when we board I just go 1/2 I have the 4 tank MLS plus an additional 350 in the bow 85' back 25 MPH clean

can you show me what your nose set up looks like??

ogopogo 05-13-2008 1:51 PM

Bryan, have you reproped? What engine? We have the same set up in our 06 VLX with the 340 and it gets out no problem.

I have the hammerhead 400HP
Not sure on the prop, But I need to stand up to see whats ahead - Not fun

Last time out we only had 2 in the boat and put a 600 on the floor, it worked alot better with the weight further forward

I have my prop repitched and recupped, and get out of the hole in under 10 seconds with this setup:

Factory 1250lbs
440lbs in each rear
700lb on center floor
2 250lbs in the bow

probably 2500-2600lbs if I had to guess since you never really get the sacs totally full to capacity.

tparider 05-13-2008 4:31 PM

By the way, I have the 340 engine.

The prop is the best investment we ever made for the boat. I dinged the good prop last summer and we ran the stock prop for a day, never again. The difference is huge! Not to mention how much cash is saved getting out of the hole.

Ryan, What prop do you have?

cody_08_lsv 05-13-2008 8:43 PM

i just got the acme 1235 changed my life on my 23! chase memorial we r ballin ill c u tomaro at school ha

ogopogo 05-14-2008 9:04 AM

Think it is the 1235. Someone on here should know the right one to get, not sure if it would be the same for the lsv as the vlx. You could probably call acme and they will fill you in. It was only $450 delivered to Canada. Paid for it self easily last summer.
