Ballast fitting help
 

I am trying to set up a semi ballast system in my boat. I have found most of the stuff I need but this last connection has eluded me!

I will have (2) 3/4" drain lines that I would like to connect to the bilge drain. I have 1" outlet and a 1" bilge drain now.

I would like to tie the (2) 3/4" drains lines together with a "Y" fitting like the one below before teeing into the bilge drain. But, I would like to find a 1" Y connector instead of a 3/4".

I would also like to use a 1" "sweep" T connector (like a sanitary T PVC plumbing elbow) to give better flow direction where it will pump into the bilge line. But again, I can't find a 1" fitting.

I know you are probably trying to avoid adding another thru-hull to the boat but it would be a lot cheaper.

I would use a 1" barbed tee fitting with a 1" check valve on the bilge side that only allows water up and out to eliminate the need for a sweep.

I would then use the 3/4" barbed wye fitting to connect the two drain lines and run them up to a 1" to 3/4" reducer fitting and connect that to the 1" tee fitting.

There are going to be a lot of solutions to this project. Have a good day and have fun with the system.

Sorry this is not the best diagram but it is what I was thinking.

Yea, what you are describing is probably what I will have to do. In fact, I was looking at those exact fittings from the same supplier.

I was just hoping I could find a 1" Y so that the (2) 3/4 lines would come out as a 1" line instead of combining (2) 3/4" and netting one 3/4" output.

Just seemed to make sense since I had to convert everything to a 1" line any way, thought it would be better to do it at the Y (or right before it) instead of after.
