Supra head unit recommendations
 

Have an '06 21v and the head unit is bad again. This is the second one. It's a Kenwood KTS-MP400MR. Can use some recommendations on what to replace this with. Anyone with a newer Supra, what is installed in yours and do you like it. Thanks for any input.

Which model Alpine did you get?

The cda-9886m it also has the wireless remote that works up to 100ft away and is watterproof.

Are you amping the speakers or using the headunit to power them? I used to have an 06 21V and the factory setup was too much load on the headunit and would cause it to overheat. Run a small 4 channel amp to power all the interior speakers and this should keep you from frying the head unit.

The boat speakers are running off of the head unit right now, but they will be running off of another amp soon.
