Audrey

After you carve out make your transition smoothly back in(dont let the rope slack). On your way in dont keep switching your edge, hold it all the way through the wake without letting up. Also from the pictures, it looks like your holding the handle a little high, try keeping it at your hip and think of that as a center balance point/rotation point. Try that out

A progressive edge is when you progressively gain speed as you edge into the wake. Obviously the harder you edge, the more speed you will gain. It is important to hold your edge through the wake and to straighten your legs at the top of the wake for maximum pop. You are in a seated position which is fine. There are three different positions you can be in as you edge into the wake. A seated position creates a little less line tension as you leave the wake which is ideal for spinning. You should check out The Book wakeboard instructional video. No doubt it will answer any questions that you have about wakeboarding and perhaps help you take your riding to the next level.

Audrey

A main point people make is ride through the wake. So imagine that the tip of the wake pushes the middle of your board up, instead of riding up the wake like a snowboard ramp. The force and shape of the wake is what gives you the pop. Stomp your front foot right into the wake (or in-a-scence ride through the wake). Also, you dont need to cut way out to clear the wake. You'd much rather have air time than distance and land in the flats. Hope this helps, keep tring youll get it. Dont forget about your toeside too. We always say its a waste of gas if you just hit your heelside!! Happy Wakin!!

Okay...Ladies I will definetly use those tips... I'm out this weekend wakeboarding due to Hurricane IKE, we got 40 mph winds here, but next week, I'm up to try these things.

When I'm in the air, do I need to pull myself in to the board? or can I remain in that seated chair position? Will that position every change? I think I look retarded in it.

thanks

When you get more comfortable you will start grabbing then tweeking grabs. For now just hold on to the rope with both hands and consentrate on keeping the handle at your hips, and try not to have straight arms.
