I have had about enough with the stock equipment in the '00 X-Star. After reading about what a lot of you have done I put together a decent setup. This is what I have picked out so far and wanted opinions from the pros. I will only be running two of these amps for now, another battery and perko switch are in my future.

Sony GT500 - Head Unit
Sony RM-X55M - Wired Remote
Sony XA-110IP - Ipod adapter
Polk Audio MMC650's (2 pairs)
JL Audio 12W3V3 - Either or on the sub's not both.
JL Audio 12W6v2
Kicker zx650.4 - For Polk's
Kicker zx750.1 - For the Sub
Kicker zx850.2 - For the addictions I will buy someday.

(Message edited by robie on June 15, 2006)

go with the dub 6 if you get a jl sub
I have heard the W6 and was amazed. Someone told me to check out the W3 before I buy. I was told it sounds good and is much cheaper.
|
My one w6 in a ported box is noticably louder and hits harder than two w3's in a sealed box. W6 is powered by a 500/1 and the (2) w3's are powered by a 500/1...just some fyi. JL did just come out with there new w3.

Like I mentioned earlier I've heard a couple of the kicker l7's and was very impressed.

If it's not raining this weekend , look for me on the river.

(Message edited by acurtis_ttu on June 15, 2006)

Ive got a Kicker l7 and the polks MMC 650s in my boat. I had bought two l7s but one was more than plenty, youll like the polks, they are really crisp.

Thanks Adam. If I see you out I wan to check it out.

The L7 would save quite a bit. I heard they are very loud but not as clean as the JL. What do you think Mike?

I talked to a stero shop last night and was told that sony was doing away with their mobile line. Was this guy and idiot or is there any truth to this?
