Watson Fly what size? 139 or 143

My son got a 07 134 Watson he is 145lbs. I am 190lbs. we both skiied on it and loved it. Then I got a 08 142 Watson and he liked it better than me. I do like it though,i just got used to the short board . We are planning on getting a Watson FLY this year. Should we get a 139 or a 143. I'm thinking 139. What do you think?

You should go with the 142, bigger the better. Plus your son already likes that size, and since its a F.L.Y. model you wont have to worry about the bigger size being any heavier

Why do you want to go with the FLY series. It is indeed a lot lighter but it is considered a pretty gimmicky product which is why you never see any of the pro riders on them. Unless you are intending on trying spins where you really could use the decreased weight, just stick with the normal board. Are you getting the new Watson or Watson Classic? If you watch the Abu Dhabi video, Harley is on the Watson classic (as is Bob Soven) and he has no problem with getting that board around. LF has never really produced a "light" core that has been accepted among the wakeboarding community. They have either been TOO light, too stiff, too flexy, and snap like twigs. This is obviously a new type of core where they have done without most of the balsa wood but I would still be very weary of having wood stringers in my board. The one thing with Liquid Force is that their normal boards are generally on the lighter end in comparison to other companies standard boards. For $700 you could almost get two regular Watson's having one for the rails and one for the boat.

I bought a FLY on ebay for 257 bucks.

It's the bigger one. I was riding a 2007 Watson 142. I am 200 lbs.
