This boat is not just for shows. It is used and enjoyed more than any other boat I have worked on. Keep an eye out for this boat on the American and Sacramento River or anywhere else in Nor Cal. Look for it at Spring Ride.

Personally, I think that is one of the best LED setups I have seen. Looks very classy.

Wow, That looks great. Very classy. Nice work!

did you build all the LED rings? Mind showing some pics of how you did it?

I just built a router table for my shop and have been experimenting with a few idea's of how to do this.

mendo247 03-30-2010 6:51 PM

Wow... Very nice..

John- I don't have very many pictures of the build process but I will send you the ones I have when I get to my home computer. I'm doing them with a router table for now.
Richard- Thanks. The yellow ended up looking really nice.

talltigeguy 04-03-2010 10:15 PM

Ben, that looks awesome. They look so nice during the daytime as well.

I considered putting a sub in front of the driver's feet, but there is all of the electronic gadgetry behind that wall. Was it hard to relocate all of that? How was it done?

And if you have a pic of the back of the box to illustrate that would be great.

jonyb 04-03-2010 10:39 PM

Thanks for the reply Ben. I'm going to post a question about the RGB's in a new thread looking for advice. I'd love to see the pics of the rings and what type of LED's you used. Thanks....

Ben, on the led rings are the edges smooth, or did you use some sort of an etching compound to make them rough?

soundbox 04-06-2010 4:16 PM

Talltige - There was a 3cu.ft. box behind that location already so some of the electronics were already moved. The only thing that had to move was the fuse box and that was only a few inches. The only build pics I have are in the "Got Box" thread that I linked above.

John - PM me to remind me to send you some pics

Matt - Sandpaper to fog the rings.
