im thinking about making a canoe rail sometime this week, does anyone have any experience with this type of rail or any advice on how i should set it up and make it work?

Make sure you clear the tip of the canoe when you oley up. If you don't make sure and post pics.

One thing, make sure you turn it upside down!

anchor each end with cinder blocks and some rope. If you are in a river where the tide comes in and out just have to make the rope long enough. We do it with a kayak.
