Upgrading from 2010 Ronix One to 2012 Ronix One...?

I've been riding a 2010 Ronix One 142 (white) w/ 2010 Ronix One LTD boots (black) for the past 4 seasons.

While at the boat show this weekend, I saw a leftover 2012 Ronix One ATR 138 (red) for $259. Seemed like a pretty good deal for a quick upgrade and a change of pace (new shape and all).

So I bought it. I figure I'd just use my existing black Ronix One boots on it.

My question for you is... how different do you think this board will feel, given the new shape and the smaller size (I'm 5'10, 175 lbs). Will it feel lighter? more -or- less locked in? that sort of feedback. This was a total impulse buy... was it a smart move?

Thanks!

You've made an unbelievable upgrade. It is not completely different from its predecessors, but it is an improvement in just about every category: forgiveness, speed and pop.

Agree totally. Board feels exact opposite to me. I was on a '10 142 and switch to a '12 142 Timebomb and i love it. Sooo much better than the older models.

X2 looks hard on the knees. He should make sure he can squat out that stance. You don't want to bind your knees.
