I got myself a 2004 116 Scape last year to see how I liked skating. The board has served me well so far but it's flexy and big for tech tricks. I know this is a frequently asked question here but what is a good board to logically move on to? I dont have the need to go all out on an integ or anything but i would like something better than what i ride now. I'd rather go compression moulded simply 'Cause i would like to bypass the problem of delam. but if wood is the way to go then i'm down. Thanks in advance

I skate for Sattelyte wakeskates. The new boards are soooo sick and super strong. Ive been riding my prototype for 3 months now. ANd its still in perfect condition.

Check the new line out in the newest issue of alliance and wbm

if you want a compression skate than get a hyperlite byerly 06

compression skates still delam, just not as often. regardless, delam-ing is a warranty fix with even wood skates. cassette just has been having bad luck with their skates in the past few years.

i would check out the skates that LF has. they have flats, wood concaves and compression molded skates. you can even get foam or grip on the wood concaves. i have one of their wood concaves (impulse) and its a sick skate.

basically wood is still good, but compression is good too. and dont bother buying another 116cm board unless youre 250lbs haha. wakeskates are meant to be smaller than wakeboards and will ride differently. chances are the 107 byerly would work sizewise as long as youre below 200lbs.

I might be able to get my hands on a used gate for cheap. is it worth the money, and i heard people cut them down and weight them and all that is it worth the trouble. Or shoudl i just keep to something simple and proven??
