We have an 04 X-10 and the very last board on the teak platform has a major crack in it on the one side. Would like to replace that board only. What do you guys think? Will we be able to make it match color wise? Where can I find teak close to that size?

I had to repair/replace a couple of boards on a 10 year old Teak deck a few years back. I got a Teak board at a local specialty wood supplier. Once the broken pieces were replaced and the entire deck was refinished and oiled, you really couldn't see a diff. <BR> <BR>The only bad part wad the board coast $80 but due to it's thickness, we planed off about $40 of it.

You can try to contact Teakworld in lebanon TN. The were the supplier for most if not all of the tournament ski boat manufactures. The also sell replacements, so I would think you could get boards from them as well. I bought a transom saver piece from them before and it mounted right on the the existing platform. O.K. I got the new teak from Teakworld, and have it installed. Looks great, but know I am refinishing the old to look like the new. They are real close color wise but the new one is alot smoother than the old. Can I sand the old down to make it like the new????

No problem on sanding down the teak. I had a 92 Malibu with teak swim step. I got tired of oiling it all the time, so I sanded it down and coated with a marine spar varnish. It lasted about 4 years looking nice before I had to do it again before I sold it.
