Nice shots man does he go huge on those 1080s. Looks like the boat might have a little bit of weight in it.

andy_nintzel 07-20-2009 3:24 PM

Love the shots, I like how you can see that he actually missed the handle before the last 180, (second from the last shot) he put his hand through the handle (its on his wrist) but still managed to get it back and stomp it. That is awareness for sure!

guido 07-20-2009 3:35 PM

That wake is nasty big. Is that a X-star?

garret_s 07-20-2009 3:36 PM

the last half will do. absolutely unreal. the wake makes rusty look like a normal sized person.

wakecumberland 07-20-2009 8:44 PM

Yep, Xstar with 8 people and sacs everywhere. It was unbelievable! I'll try to post up the video I have tomorrow.

(Message edited by wakecumberland on July 20, 2009)

Wow, was that off the double up? I cant really tell if the boat was crossing rollers or not.

hunter660 07-21-2009 6:38 AM

Yes, off the double up. I don't know for sure how much weight was in the boat, but based off other X-Stars I've been in, I'd say it was close to around the 5000lbs some of the guys on here run.

hunter660 07-21-2009 6:39 PM

Maybe this will help to scale the size of the wake. Rider is ~6'.

yea man that was a sick day i was in the other boat with chad sharpe and brad smeele. Rusty threw a 10 when yall rode past us and came super close... I guessing he was 2/3 that day on 1080s? unreal. Brad Smeele got super close on a reg stance 1080 just popped the handle on the landing. And whats up with everyone saying Rusty is soooo huge I mean he is a pretty ripped guy but i wouldnt say he is SUPER tall or anything maybe 6,1 or 6,2 but i think hes so jacked he kinda stands hunched over haha. All the guys were super cool tho... Chad Sharpe was super cool as was Brad and /i actually was up in Lousiville eating at Chilis when rusty sat down at the table next to us... Great weekend!

Time for a 1080 in contest... A bunch have been landed, now lets see it on the tour. Very nice pics bro

idrumyay 07-26-2009 3:12 PM

About passing the handle...I rode with Rusty last season and here is a pic of him doing a 7. I think a lot of his spins he throws the handle to the other hand instead of 'passing' it. Maybe this is required for any faster spin variation.
