20.5 mph. stays that speed all the time. cables geneally will run from 0mph to 40mph. the cable will always run about 19-21 while your riding.derr

Best velocity for w8kboarding is 28- 30 km/h . Most of all cableways in germany run at 30 km/h, (also at competitions this speed is used). for learning new tricks 28 is not bad

okay if my australian is right than 30km/h divided by 1.6 is around 18.75miles/h

every time i have been to odub it has been right around 18

xtremebordgurl 11-14-2003 9:37 AM

u can request them to speed it up a little too I think...

deepstructure 11-14-2003 4:49 PM

when we rode owc last spring the operator said it was running at 19mph.

xtremebordgurl 11-14-2003 10:38 PM

Its always been at 19 at owc the few times I've been there, but I thought I heard someone say you could request it to go faster... not sure if thats tru or not, I think it is, but again I'm not sure. I know the cable can range in speed but not sure how much the operators speed it up/slow it down. I think it depends on the operator...
