XStar windscreen tint
Was looking through old threads about tinting windscreens and all the people complaining about how hard it was to tint them because of the curves. Then it dawned on me how much of a pain the new stars screen must be to tint with all those curves:banghead:, so I was wondering if anyone has tinted the windscreen on a new star yet?

Thanks for the compliments! I'm very pleased with how the boat turned out all together.
For any people even remotely worried about the black interior getting hot...don't be it is a non-issue. It has been 85 and perfectly sunny the last three weekends in a row. The black vinyl in direct sunlight is not as hot as the light gray trim vinyl on my last X-Star. If you are thinking about it on your next MC, do it! |
85 is a far cry from 105 to 113 that I have seen here in Northern California. Looks nice though.

Did you manage to get all the panels tinted with ne sheet of tint? or do you have spices in the film?
|
Oh and your boat looks killer man, really dig those colours:D

Totally agree that 105 might be a little toasty, but honestly the white vinyl on my old boat would burn your skin when it is that hot. If you live in Texas and the average is 100, you probably should not get a black boat! But here in Michigan, having the darker interior actually helps extend the season a couple weeks by keeping it a little warmer. The boat really draws a crowd when I pull up someplace...
Regarding the tint, it is 15% and it is in separate pieces because of the flip walk through window...the curve with the tint looks super sexy! |
