im looking to put some 20s on my denali with some AT or MT tires, like about a 33, i don't wanna lift it. i drive my truck a lot and go up to the mountain in the snow during the winter so i don't think 22s with low profile tires will be the best for me and i don't wanna run seperate wheels in the winter. anyway running this setup? if so post pics and specs.

Why? You will decrease you fuel mileage, and increase you stopping distance.

Run separate tires in the winter, All seasons are fine in Portland but not in the snow. Real winter tires make an enormous difference. Mud tires don't. (Unless you plan on carrying chains and know how to put them on.) <BR>Peter's comments are dead on with an increase in tire size. Increasing the diameter kills every thing except ground clearance and for some, the looks. You can run many different rim sizes on a Denali.

nitto terra grappler

I've got a 03 silverado with 20" rim and 33" nitto mud grapplers. No lift and no problems pulling the boat. Also I'vehad them over a year now I'll post a pic after lunch.

The nitto terra grappler is an aggressive tire with a pretty good ride on the highway as well. They are aggressive but not overdone.

how are those grapplers with road noise. I'm thinking about getting some

here's some pics of my last 2 trucks(red truck is current) one of the pics of black truck is mkw19's with some goodyear eagle gt II's(lower profile) 285/50/20 tires, another pic is the ultra peacemakers with nitto terra grappler a/t's 305/55/20. red truck has 18's on(pic of truck with boat) they are the ultra star gazer with nitto terra grappler a/t's 285/65/18, and the red truck pic by itself is a set of 305/55/20's nitto terra grappler as well. I think the 305/55/20 tire is about a 32-33" tire, and you can put this under your vehicle without a lift. Entrust- <BR>You're pretty limited with your stock suspension set up as I went through the same thought process. <BR> <BR>For instance, if you went with a 305/55/20 tire you will get some rub up front when turning hard and primarily in reverse. You can modify your fender wells slightly which could remedy the problem. This tire set up will give you a tire diameter of 33.2" <BR> <BR>I have 305/45/22's on my Yukon and it is a 32.8" diameter and I get a little rub when I turn the wheel all the way right and go in reverse, actually hitting my washer fluid resevoir. <BR> <BR>Where you looking at chrome wheels or black? Not sure if they use salt on the roads out there but it will pit the crap out of your wheels.

im doing black rims with a polished lip, there is no salt here. i was thinking of a 305/50/20 which would be a 32" so barely bigger than stock, not enough to affect gas mileage and stuff i would think. i just personally don't like 20s with low profile tires, they just look too small, but 20s with off tires look good, i saw a chevy truck last month with 20s and 32" BFG AT tires and it looked great! <BR> <BR>as i said before i don't want run different tires in the winter

2nd the nitto's i've got a set, cheaper than the BFG AT KO's, look great and did very well in the snow. Heard they are good for the sand but not good in mud. I haven't tried yet. I know you don't want to get a lift, but a leveling kit may help. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by siuski on April 04, 2007)

33x12.5-20 Toyo M/T, 20x10 Weld Wheels, 4" lift. <BR>I'm very happy with this setup. These are the quietest mud tires I've ever owned, and they are wearing very good. I've got about 20k miles on them, and they look like about 50% left. Nick what kind of lift is that.

Rancho. It's not my favorite lift for Chevy's, but it is, in my opinion, the best 4" kit you can buy. There is a much better selection of 6" lift's.

I have 22x12 weld wheels $1100 each and 40" toyos $600 each.....ouch! (it's only money) They are the best big tires made,smooth and great mileage. I've got 20's with 35" Toyo MTs. 7" suspension and 3" body lift. The Toyo tires run great and also quieter than all of the other trucks with similar tires I've ridden in. <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/432914.jpg" alt="Upload">

That 07 hoe would look a lot better with like a 4" lift on it to much of an open space above it.

Get the Cooper Discoverer! Damn near the same tread pattern... a little bit cheaper maybe 10$ a tire, and the wear better... meaning they have a harder tread than the toyo which is pretty soft.

Entrust you will not be able to fit 33's without a lift. even a Silverado with a 6 or 7 inch lift can only fit 35's. A great tire is the ProComp extreme A/T's great price. Rated to 50,000 miles. Did you sell your with LSV?

yeah im leaning toward 32s they should fit fine <BR> <BR>i have the white XLV and it's not sold yet, haven't really been trying hard, might wait a little while longer
