will liquid force cover this as a warranty claim

hi guys, im from Australia and just thought i would ask you guys what you think.

ok so i have 2010 ltd shanes, with the new quick lace system

first problem: the new lacing system doesn't work, i pull them tight and its mean to grab and it doesnt, i find once i am riding that the boots are loose.

second problem: i have broken two laces today at cable and am unsure if it can be fixed because it is all internal

third problem: where one of the laces comes out of the boot on the bottom half i had repaired because it broke, it has now opened up again

fourth problem: on the heel of my right boot the stitching is coming out .

ive only had these boots for a month and a half,

would liquid force let me swap boots, to sovens? on them not much can go wrong and i dont want to get vantages cause my foot wouldnt fit in the biggest size ones

Can't hurt to give them a call. I know their customer service is very good so I don't see a replacement being a problem. I'd take some pictures of the boot if you haven't already.

I took my Watson LTD's to the shpo where I bought them and they warranty exchanged them for Sovens. Both sides had broken laces and there is no way to fix them without some serious sewing skills. They said that LF was not making the LTD's any more so they wouldn't have replacement products anyways.

Bit of a change from you raving and telling everyone to buy them on wake.com.au ay nic :P

nicvtx1994 06-27-2010 2:57 AM

haha, they still are the best brand of boots ever, just changing models. the quick lace system just isnt the best. thats why i want to go to sovens. very simple boot .

Yeah every pair of them limited I've seen are broken...

nicvtx1994 06-27-2010 5:46 AM

if it wasnt for the laces they would be fine, what's your user name off wake.com.au? haha

Ok so I too have a pair of these 10' Shane LTD w/ quik lace system. Emailed LF about lace replacement.

Are these even able to be replaced with the quick lace setup, very different from my watsons.

ColoRadDude 08-22-2011 8:36 AM

I had the same problem last year with the ltd Watsons and they sent me a brand new pair of 2011 Watsons. Shouldn't be a problem at all...as long as they are still under warranty.

Im probably screwed...just realized my ex wife had purchased these and my board last fall for me as a gift.

Needless to say, she isnt going to help me out with the co name or receipt after I divorced her for her issues.

Man...this sux. Theyre def less than a yr old but i have no clue what site she bought them from.

if anyone is a fan of this style of lacing, Slingshots version is different and working good for me so far. they hold very very well, better than any lace bead lock on traditional wake-boot-laces. they have replacement parts and a video to show how easily it is done... but so far i have heard no problems or breaks even so.

but as for the warranty, i would think any brand would be ridiculous not to do something

The LTD laces are a disaster, demoed Watsons for a weekend and broke both laces. Pity cos they where a very good very comfy boot.
