watersnake 10-21-2008 7:25 PM

Prove it, post some pics of the wake.

lfrider92 10-21-2008 7:30 PM

i dont take pictures of the wake? haha ill find a picture of someone riding with a decent picture of the wake

lfrider92 10-21-2008 7:36 PM

not the tallest wake. but its pretty rampy and its got a clean edge. thats the thing i HATE about v drives. the top of the wake is always a mess. i like a clean lip. it makes it way easier for board and lip slides and its easier to jump in my opinion

wakeboardlasvegas 10-21-2008 7:45 PM

a Vdrive doesnt produce a clean wake at the lip?

lfrider92 10-21-2008 7:47 PM

you should see some of the boats on out wake. it looks like someone injected air into the wake. seriously though. its bad

lfrider92 10-21-2008 7:49 PM

god major spelling issues tonight. sorry. i meant. "you should see some of the boats on our lake"

bjeremi 10-21-2008 7:53 PM

David your kidding right. Almost every pick you have on you myspace including one of the two above shows a washy wake. The first one looks decent though. Have fun man.

lfrider92 10-21-2008 7:55 PM

dude. i thought that was obvious. haha
i want a tige rz2

i thought it was pretty obvious.
i guess sarcasm is hard to see online though. haha

not going to lie here though. our boat is one of the loudest on the lake. haha

johnsvt 10-21-2008 8:06 PM

my vdrive wake is fairly clean...little windy that day. Your's does look pretty nice though.

(Message edited by johnsvt on October 21, 2008)

v-drive wake... not a mess, I/o's blow

ladythump 10-21-2008 9:51 PM

Never mind the boat, nice rig!

kyle_m 10-21-2008 10:25 PM

david the funny thing is that i doubt you were joking because every almost every post that u post sends raving reviews of how you love your boat and how it pops you hella high bro so theres wehre i doubt u intended the sacasm until u saw that we were giving you a hard time lol

and the problem with i/o's is that there is no fins on the bottom when you cut out your gunna be pulling the boat to one side slightly creating a wash on the wake 99% of the time you dont get that with a V-drive or Direct drive. But im sure you could do sum serious damage with your boat man.. just gotta throw some serious weight in there and i bet it would be a sick wake

trevorg7 10-22-2008 7:17 AM

Nice looking boat, enjoy!

T

lfrider92 10-22-2008 7:43 AM

Kyle, im actually am kidding dude. but anyways. our boat weighs 5500 pounds full of fuel with no people in it. so its pretty solid in the water. when you cut really hard though. the boat leans one direction yes. but it doesnt really PULL the boat if you know what i mean. and the pictures i posted. the boat is not trimmed. at the trim set at 4 its a little taller.

and this is kind of random. but we wakesurf behind our as well. haha. when we set the trim to 9 we can get a waist high wake. its pretty sick. but it burns 15 gallons of fuel an hour like that.

sidekicknicholas 10-22-2008 7:54 AM

I/O's > V-drive to wakeboard

wakesurfs I/O's

I'll give you the speaker argument but the other two, hmmmm.

insuranceman 10-22-2008 7:54 AM

david, i sure as heck would NOT surf behind your boat.

bazel 10-22-2008 8:28 AM

I just threw up a bit on that one!!

bsebllhglyknit 10-22-2008 8:52 AM

That damn picture shows up everytime someone says they want to, have, dream of, saw somebody else, wakesurf behind a I/O. It is disgusting

kyle_m 10-22-2008 8:56 AM

damn now that i just got back from tossng up breakfast lol
it is all bad surfing behind an i/o my friends did it once along time ago and i refused to for that very reason and tried convincing them to but they wouldnt budge i was freaking out in the boat
oh and david be careful if you want to get an RZ2 its a v-drive so the wake is gunna be washy ehhh lol jk with ya bro

jsuds 10-22-2008 9:58 AM

thats nasty...

to_blind 10-22-2008 10:06 AM

^^^^^ that hand kinda looks like its throwin up the Metal...or maybe a quick shocker...pretty nasty, hope it didn't really make anyone toss the cookies

downfortheride 10-22-2008 10:06 AM

Yikes!

The truth hurts...

wakescene 10-22-2008 10:14 AM

I call BS on that pic of the chewed up hand!

Site your source for that pic as it REALLY looks like an industrial accident from an Auger and not a propeller.

knarbar 10-22-2008 10:33 AM

My buddy worked in a metal shop during high school and got his hand sucked up in a sheet metal roller. Looks exactly like his pictures. Thats crazy

alans 10-22-2008 10:41 AM

yea, there simply would be no hand there if it hit the prop.

duramat 10-22-2008 10:56 AM

lol does it matter? God gave ya common sense, why even chance it? That pic has turned up everywhere regarding surfing behind an i/o. Im for surfing but dang, the thought of getting chewed up by that i/o prop it aint worth it even with a swim platform over it. In my profession I need my hands to bring home the bacon to support my family and this fun sport we enjoy. If I become physically handicapped I will be physically and financially messed up. Not worth it!

dabell 10-22-2008 11:01 AM

Look at the cut down the forearm. That should tell you enough.

That is totally sick....

to_blind 10-22-2008 11:02 AM

attaboy KG, calling BS on a pic of an accident...sounds like another action-packed day for you..."site your source"...keeping the 'net honest.

and Al, if you think that a boat prop would take a hand clean off please do me a favour and try it for yourself. or google what happens to a mannatee when a prop hits them...

anyways, I was just sharing a pic that we have all already seen 100 times, and passing on the message that surfing behind an I/O is not a good idea.

fatsac 10-22-2008 11:04 AM

Wouldn't you be able to see the prop spinning while surfing behind and I/O? That alone is enough to keep me well away from it.

to_blind 10-22-2008 11:14 AM

a source for Al: http://www.howtowakesurf.com/

alans 10-22-2008 11:34 AM

I personally know two people that hit props and neither one of them have their limbs and I know of several other people that have lost their lives. None of them were wakesurf wakeboard related. Are you guys calling me Al? I don't get it, that pic is bs. If you think that a little skin, bone, and cartilage is going to stop a 330+ hp engine from spinning a few blades, you are sadly mistaken.

(Message edited by alans on October 22, 2008)

to_blind 10-22-2008 11:46 AM

Alan, I don't really feel like arguing with a grown man about something so trivial. I only re-posted because I assumed you were 12 and lacked some life experience. That is not the case, however. We all know people who have caught their limbs in moving parts of machinery. Some have limbs, some do not. Try to use your imagination. I think this picture is a better option over the story of the kid who was impaled on a trimmed-up stern drive. And my apologies, the sited source was not intended for you, it was for KG.

mc_x15 10-22-2008 1:35 PM

damn your boat sucks, haha.

duramat 10-22-2008 2:39 PM

The timing of this thread is perfect. I just yelled at my kids for sticking their hand down the garbage disposal. I just showed them this pic and lesson learned. they could care less if it was an auger, prop, machine, or whatever point is they got the idea.I think I saw my 9 year old go pale hahaha

05mobiuslsv 10-22-2008 3:11 PM

That picture of the injury is not from a prop. Just because it was on that website doesn't mean it's really from a boating accident. That's an industrial workplace injury.

to_blind 10-22-2008 3:37 PM

Of course NuBu, silly of us to get the two mixed up.
Industrial workplace injury = pretty broad.
How/why have you ruled out a prop?
Whatever man, go surf behind an I/O.

05mobiuslsv 10-22-2008 3:45 PM

derek I wouldn't surf behind a I/O. I agree not the boat for that. Point was that's not what caused that injury. If it was a prop there would be deep gashes to the bone, and since the effected wound area goes so far up his arm he would either be missing all or most of his hand and fingers. A prop won't pull the skin off of the finger like his middle finger it would cut if off.

Don't get upset cause you're wrong.

lfrider92 10-22-2008 4:00 PM

if you look at the picture of the back of our boat. its got a pretty big swim deck. and its almost water level. so even if i where to fall straight forward. i still wouldnt be able to hit the prop. i know what can happen though

wakereviews 10-22-2008 4:04 PM

Ok, now that we got that cleared up, who wants to tackle this one?

denverd1 10-22-2008 4:31 PM

didn't you say you trimmed the prop up, way up, for surfing???

bill_airjunky 10-22-2008 4:37 PM

Funny how everyone is worried about getting caught up in the prop...... but no one gives a damn if their suckin exhaust.

lfrider92 10-22-2008 5:00 PM

morning wood? lmfao. but ya i trim it way up. the prop is still straight out though. just the boat is way up. it plows a ton of water and throws a waist high wake. why do you ask though?

(Message edited by lfrider92 on October 22, 2008)

Its like when people burn themselves on coffee and try to blame McDonalds for the fact they maybe a retarded person ---> McDonalds has to put warnings everywhere to make sure you know your coffee is hot

A bunch of foolish wakesurf their I/O... cut their heads off and now I/O companys/independant places must protect people from themselves.

Natural selection.....just let it happen

wakereviews 10-23-2008 8:20 AM

well, i was trying to convey something that had a lot of conspiracy theories associated with it and that was the first thing that came to mind. I'm really surprised that it would offend anyone (i mean, did you see the pic of the guy with a friggin tree stuck in his crotch???) and even more surprised that posting that image would be construed as un-American... but oh well. How about this, is this one better?

sidekicknicholas 10-23-2008 8:26 AM

haha, much better.

denverd1 10-23-2008 8:26 AM

not very patriotic, but JFK's death is as American as it gets.

macrogpx2 10-23-2008 12:00 PM

thats better, but my argument is that a former presidents death is not omg that is gross like a hand getting chopped up in a prop. didnt mean to disrespect you. bigfoot is a lighter subject.

knarbar 10-23-2008 12:13 PM

Holy crap seriously that pic of the guy /\ with the log in his @$$ is the sickest thing Ive ever seen in my life. He wont be able to crap proper FOR LIFE!

wakereviews 10-23-2008 12:16 PM

ah...my meaning was that the pic of the prop seemed to bring out many hypothesis to the real cause of the injury and it seems that we had some sleuths on the site.. i was only pointing out that if we can tackle that mystery so effectively, we should take on another such as the Kennedy assassination... obviously it was a lame duck attempt at humor.

johnsvt 10-23-2008 2:39 PM

I thought it was funny OI.

dabell 10-23-2008 2:48 PM

onlyinboards: I understood what you were trying to get at.

Dave, that dude is going to crap wood splinters the rest of his live.

themxercr85 10-23-2008 7:34 PM

That soldier deserves so be tortured and shot in every spot that wont kill him and left to die. Thats unbelievable, that •••••• video borught tears to my eyes I dont understand how someone can do that. Its weird cause in my dream lastnight somehow i got a hold of that guy and beat the living shiat out of him until he eventually died.

johnsvt 10-23-2008 7:38 PM

How can you shoot someone without killing them and then leave them to die?
