Attention Texas and Oklahoma Collegiate Clubs: Red Bull Boarder Wars
 

I am helping plan a Red Bull event for the 4th of July weekend at Lake Texoma for all Texas and Oklahoma collegiate wakeboard clubs called Red Bull Boarder Wars. The event is going to take place Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4 at Mill Creek Marina in Pottsboro, Texas. Red Bull athlete JD Webb will be coming in to judge the event which will be pulled by a 2010 Mastercraft X-Star from Texas Mastercraft. Fox, Oakley, Ronix, and Sasser Wakeboard School are all sponsoring the event which will have some of the best prizes ever for a collegiate event. I don't want to give it all away now, but all of the clubs will be stoked for sure.

The format of the event is going to be Texas clubs vs. Oklahoma clubs and is free to enter for all of the clubs. We have a private cove on Lake Texoma booked for the weekend that will be blocked by our houseboat that we have rented out to use as the starting location. There will be four teams from Texas and four teams from Oklahoma, each team with three riders, competing against each other in a best trick format on a down and back pass in the private cove to see which state will win bragging rights for 2010.

But after all the riding is done, the highlight of the weekend will be the party that Red Bull and each of the sponsors is throwing for the collegiate teams. Each of the 8 teams will get their own campground for Saturday night and the party with JD will going into the early hours of the morning.

We are going to limit the first year of this event to 4 collegiate teams from each state so it is important to email us early to guarantee your spot. We are taking registration until May 15, so please email me at sasserwakeboardschool@gmail.com or to katherine.dale@us.redbull.com.
