I have a 05 Mobius LSV. Running factory 3 bag setup plus 3 more bags tied into factory setup. First let me say i don't use vent lines, The factory setup Use's 1 pump for all bags and then sprinkler valves for each bag, and a Rule Reverse pump for each bag. The problem i am having is once i get the rear bags 80-90% full, the water starts bleeding past the reverse pump and draining back in the lake. I can continue to fill the bag till its 100% full but after i stop filling it drains back down to 80-90% full. The only bag that does'nt do this is the ski locker bag. I am assuming the reason being is that my hose from the reverse pump to the thru hull fitting needs to be higher. Is that the case? Or is there another solution?

I always watch my bags fill and was thinking of putting a pvc ball valve right before each thru-hull fitting, and close them when i fill the bags, and then open them when ready to empty bags. I know without a vent line this could be dangerous. Also i don't have a check valve on my fill lines, any need for one?? Since i am using individual solinoid valves for each bag??

How is it dangerous to have both ends of the bag closed? If you were to fill it up with a bucket and put a cap on it, it would be the same, if I am understanding correctly... Sounds like your through hull valve idea would work pretty well. Open it when you want to fill or empty the ballast and have it closed otherwise.

(Message edited by jtnz on June 04, 2008)
