You only have half a head, jokes, I don't know.

10-06-2004 3:21 PM

well if i put more pictures of the cut
10-06-2004 4:07 PM

why do you say something is wrong with it?

wakeworld 10-06-2004 4:23 PM

Looks like you could straighten those arms a bit and stand more evenly over the board.

10-06-2004 4:31 PM

need to know the context

canaday 10-06-2004 5:21 PM

Dave said exactly it. You need more weight on your front foot and you need to let your arms out.

thane_dogg 10-06-2004 5:22 PM

and get the handle lower.

10-06-2004 9:02 PM

photo looks a little underexposed. my girlfriend thinks you might be blowing up dynamite.

10-07-2004 12:51 PM

lol
no it was raining later that day

10-07-2004 12:53 PM

well its a picture of a cut my cut and i was wondering if thats what you call flattening out or what. I cant completely clear the wake 100% of the time so i was wondering what was the culprit

10-07-2004 1:33 PM

How fast are you going and what line length. I looks like your board is riding deap in the water, which would mean you are real slow.

10-07-2004 3:06 PM

about 20 mph

10-07-2004 3:07 PM

and uhhhh about 50' of line i think
10-07-2004 5:38 PM

mmh. harder cut should get you out more.

10-07-2004 6:50 PM

look at this is there anything wrong with this(im getting closer to the wake

10-08-2004 9:08 AM

Depends what your calibration is, but, 20 mph is pretty slow. Looks like your board is dragging bad. It is hard to tell, but, it does not look like you are hitting a clean wake. My boat has a hard time making a wake at around 20 mph plus the wake will be very wide at the speed. Try speeding up a mile or two and let the rope out a little. Your board will feel crisper getting from edge to edge and the wake may clean up too.

10-08-2004 11:03 AM

go a little faster

10-08-2004 1:43 PM

alright thanks

10-08-2004 1:46 PM

now at the top of the wake any suggestions

10-08-2004 4:48 PM

You don't have a wake. It is all foam. You can not be consisant with a wake like that. Try and show more of the bottom of the board to the people in the boat.

10-08-2004 4:54 PM

alright
the bad wake is because i had my 300 pound uncle on the wrong side
10-10-2004 4:48 AM

Dude, you must ride with your hands closer to your hips, it will make all tricks easier. push your hips forward toward the handle to keep you more upright. Don't put soo much weight on your back foot. Boat must got a little faster. You need a tower. You need a non-stretch rope with a bigger handle. Cut progressively.

10-10-2004 10:31 AM

k thanks ill have to get those things

10-15-2004 10:56 AM

Just go faster, and that will solve most of it.

socalwakepunk 10-15-2004 11:03 AM

More speed, get the handle down to the hips.

10-16-2004 8:31 AM

more boat speed or edge speed
socalwakepunk 10-16-2004 9:59 AM

Boat speed, the wake looks flat/washed out. Depending on weoght/other factors, you should probably start out around 21 mph.

dakid 10-16-2004 1:11 PM

i wouldn't necessarily agree with the "straightening of the arms" advice. i agree, the handle should be lower, closer to the hips, but straightening the arms might be bad wording.

10-16-2004 5:37 PM

It may be just me, but it looks to me like your bindings have your legs tweaked. Have your uncle sit in nose of the boat looking back at you. That should help clean the wake up. If you have tilt/trim, trim it about 1/4. Like all else said, a little more speed.

(Message edited by grampawakerider on October 16, 2004)

i think thats one of the biggest reasons for the bad wake anyway thanks

10-17-2004 4:13 PM

what do you mean by legs tweaked
10-19-2004 2:29 PM

Look at your left knee vs your left foot. At least in the pic it looks like you should point your binding out a little. Looks like your ankle is twisted.

10-19-2004 6:09 PM

is that bad
i think i put it that way though thanks for answering my Q & A
phall925 05-02-2005 5:53 PM

jstu relax man you look too tense. Widen the stance, roll onto the back of the foot. edge all the way to the lake. let your arms out some and at the top of the wake pull the handle down to your hip. you should fly

denverd1 05-03-2005 9:16 AM

your uncle is really the problem and handle down, not out. duck your left foot out, for sure

06-28-2005 4:24 PM

Im no expert but it looks like your bindings are pigion towed. toe them out a little. get the driver to go a little faster. hold the handle lower and cut harder. It doesnt look like a hard cut at all. which is what gives you your pop.

smokedawg311 06-30-2005 7:49 PM

thanes righ...handle is too high....way too high
