Stock + 750 both rear trunks + 250 under both midship seats + 300 under both bow seats + 450 bow walkway + 120 lead in port storage locker.

Caliguy8070 11-13-2013 7:18 PM

Jay that **** is insane!! Beautiful boat also!

501s 11-13-2013 8:06 PM

That G wake is the perfect way to start the thread, it's crazy!

So J, you are running the stock 2800+1500+500+600+450+120=6000lbs!

I don't know if there is another boat out that can handle that kind of weight. That is definitley the bench mark right there.

I would certainly think the new Tige ASR would since it comes with 3000 lbs of ballast all under the floor. Also it has plenty of freeboard.

bryce2320 11-14-2013 5:05 AM

I would have thought we would have gotten pics weeks ago when the ASR was released. But since it copied the G, it's got to be identical :D :p I kid I kid :o

Bow port side to compensate the prop rotation... At least that's what I think because it rides starboard heavy when underway.

Factory full
Rear 1100s
bow sack arrow
bow triangle

its biiiiiiiig

superair502 11-14-2013 3:53 PM

they key is to over over fill the triangle to where its super stff made the wake way way bigger than normal full. something about being nose heavy. and the 1100s give it was more lip than when I had 750s

Khyber 11-14-2013 4:15 PM

I will get killed for this, but Mase's wake on his Axis is the one most similar to the Jay's G. The G is hands down the winner thus far though

Caliguy8070 11-14-2013 4:43 PM

Mase that is ridiculous. cant wait to try this weight next season

^Yes which prop, speed and line length also please

polarbill 11-14-2013 8:02 PM

Jay and Mase's wakes look ridiculous. That said I think I like the look of DFTR's wake with only 2250 pounds as compared to the G and A22 with 5k plus in ballast. That Tomcat's wake looks perty.

polarbill 11-14-2013 8:58 PM

That older X10 wake looks pretty dang good.

superair502 11-14-2013 11:39 PM

I have the 335 with 2315 prop which that prop is the only way to go on the a22. The rider in the pic is my friend I think I pull him 70ft at 23.5. I ride it at 72.5 @24.2 and it's perfect. I think the speed is off tho. It's def big only bigger wakes I have rode are a stock g with 6 people and it was very very close in size and shape to mine with this setup, and a 230 with like 6k lbs which was still prolly bigger than even the g and was honestly scary

ironj32 11-15-2013 5:08 AM

1 Attachment(s)
I love the 230. We had one for 2 years and I thought it was the biggest baddest wake out there, but the wake doesn't event come close to being as big as a G23. Below is a pic of a slammed 230 (with 5800 pounds in it) and a stock G23 with 2 people in it, with the same rider behind each.

boardjnky4 11-15-2013 6:38 AM

superair502, will the wake clean up at 22mph with that much weight? you said your speedo isn't calibrated though right? So you might not actually know.

superair502 11-15-2013 8:43 AM

Idk im just telling you what I experienced. ..

superair502 11-15-2013 8:44 AM

Yea depends on rope length. Obviously your can't ride 75ft going that slow

boardjnky4 11-15-2013 9:04 AM

yeah I would assume 65ft or so at 22mph

501s 11-15-2013 12:07 PM

Thanks for the compliments Mike. The silver flake doesn't pop as much in the photo but on the water it looks pretty good. I'd like to see some tige wakes on here ..... Robert, any ASR pics with 6k?

Thanks guys, surprisingly the whaler wake is super similar to the xstar the day after that picture was taken we added a little more ballast in the whaler for about 3400 lbs of ballast and 6 people, it was significantly bigger but forgot to get a comparison shot. If I could get some perfect pass for that thing it would probably be my favorite boat to ride behind.
