i think this is an excellent idea and this guy could make some money off these.... he said people have shown interest but nobody willing to pay for anything. i was just looking for some feedback from other riders wanting to get in the water quicker.

Thats pretty sweet. How is the bar hooked on. Unless you have the swing around racks getting your board of the side of the tower gets annoying.
|
A little unconventional but a great idea, that's a rather convienent place to get and return the boards to.
|
Another advantage would be for side clearance issues. I keep my boat on a lift suspended by cables. I have not added a rack because I know somebody is going the catch the board on the cable. Definitely a niche market.

A couple of people have tried this before years ago. It's a great idea, but I would guess you will be constantly fighting the rope getting caught in the racks/boards. Mako makes a hull mounted rack and so did a company that used to call them Cactus Racks?? Anyway, good luck.

Fluid ~ If you drove really close to the rider it would get cought but if driven properly,I think it can be avoided!

I think it is pretty practical just not sure on the whole look thing.

You would have to make some big circle to get the rider the rope without it catching the racks/boards, that wouldn't work in narrow rivers, plus the rider would have to fall right behind the boat, because if they were outside the wake the rope would be outside the racks and catch when the rope starts dragging. Looks like a great idea for keeping boards out of the way going to/from your riding spot.
