Pumped for surfing

For the first time in a couple of years I am pumped to start some wakesurfing and do some boarding. I haven't wakesurfed a ton but have done enough to play around with weight placement and ordered a custom sac from Fly High. It is a 32"x32"x32" cube and is somewhere in the neiborhood of 1000 pounds. I have a '97 Malibu VLX without a wedge and was wondering what else I could try. I run a 400 in the bow about 400 in the ski locker, a 750 surf side in the back locker and my cube behind the driver seat, and sometimes depending on people a 400 on the rear bench seat. The wave seams to be tall enough but I want a little more length. I have read the vlx can have a shorter wave but if I maybe move the 400 from the bench seat to the bow would that legthen my wave a little? Here are some pics, I don't think I had a 400 on the rear bench when I was surfing this day. I usually ride at about 11 mph

I'd try the 400 up front and move the 1100 back.

That's about as good a wave as I've ever seen out of that hull. You've gotta be to the rub rail at rest?

This is the best we ever did with that hull, and that's with a wedge too.

Weight up front will give you length, I don't know if I would add anything else though. You've got the weight just figure out where to put it.

Thanks for the replys. I may have to try a little more up front to lengthen her out. Now I just have to wait for the ice to clear. Hoping I can ride in just over 2 weeks from now with how warm it is getting.

honestly, you have a really nice wake for that boat. I dont think you need the weight up front because it might take away some height and also flatten out the transition. But obviously it wont hurt to try it haha.
