Which bindings would you buy & why? Money not an issue.

7890303 01-03-2007 7:15 PM

get me one too while you're up.

oopsds92 01-03-2007 7:28 PM

lol... i would probably buy a pair of Ronix bindings, maybe the Ronix Ones or the Ronix Scout... they both look badass!

neffro 01-03-2007 7:34 PM

If Money is no issue I would just buy them all and support our sport Then I would get me a beer

(Message edited by neffro on January 03, 2007)

There really is no 'best binding', but some you may want to consider are the CWB Zeus, Hyperlite 3DS or Murray, Ronix One, or the Liquid Force Shanes.

stephan 01-03-2007 9:11 PM

Duh!! Moose Butter Wraps Brah!!!

Sparky grab me a Steel Reserve & a blunt. Thanks Homie.

wakeboardnut 01-03-2007 11:41 PM

Marc,

The best bindings are kinda obvious when your in the store, the more money the better quality and such.

But its also important you try somthing on that you think is best for your feet, not all bindings fit alike.

So head down to your local proshop and start trying those bindings on.

magellan 01-04-2007 12:36 AM

How the F do people say any Ronix product is even in the running? There has been little to no product on the water and many of the small amounts have failed.
Please enlighten me on why this stuff is so fantastic.
Thanks.

hawaiianstiln 01-04-2007 8:38 AM

uhhhhh, well for starters, some of the top pro's in the world signed with them immediately. One would think that should say something for itself. Not sure where you have been, but the product has been in the water for some time now. Just because people can "now buy the product" doesn't mean they have not been using/testing for the past year.

Maybe you should go try/test the product out instead of reading all about it on this site.
enjoy!

innov8actionsports.com 01-04-2007 9:03 AM

Ya it does say something, it says they were offered part ownership in the company.
Keith, you should no what the best product on the market is, your riding it.

hawaiianstiln 01-04-2007 9:13 AM

7890303 01-04-2007 9:25 AM

I went down & tried on a bunch. All the hinged bindings look quick to fail, too many moving parts. The Bonifay boots look & feel to cumbersome. I ended up buying the HL Murrays. Any more input?

andy_nintzel 01-04-2007 9:32 AM

This is an easy one! Any Binding that O'brien makes is the Best!

Buy some Xenons they will change your Life.

innov8actionsports.com 01-04-2007 9:45 AM

You should have rode in the bindings before you bought. There is a big difference between trying them on in a shop and riding in them.
Congrats on your new bindings.
As far as the hinge bindings. I have sold alot of CWB's hinged bindings and have not had one warranty claim on them.

dlamont 01-04-2007 10:19 AM

The ronix one boot is the best binding I have rode in a long time. Very comfortable, supportive, and light. You can customize the inner sock to your foot it was great. As far as the warranty issues I don't know if there are any but I know Ronix will make it right.

chqwakeboarder 01-04-2007 2:23 PM

The Ronix Ones are the best
I hear that if you use Ronix stuff and ride behind a Mastercraft XStar, you can do 1080's like Danny Harf. Even on your first time riding.

PS, but seriously try out your buddys' stuff and see what you like best.

stephan 01-04-2007 3:13 PM

Marc, too bad you didn't do a little more research on your favorite wakeboarding website. You would have quickly found out that the CWB Hinge is rock solid & has very few (if any) failures. You would have also found that the Hyperlite Murray boot was the disaster prone binding of 2006, I heard of so many of those disintegrating its silly. So all in all, I give you accolades for making the uninformed (ie. wrong) decision. Here's to blind guesswork!

raketball 01-04-2007 4:02 PM

I find it funny that someone with over 200 posts on here would start a thread like this knowing that a can of worms would be opened.

A pair of bindings might not be the best due to the fact that they are the most expensive. It all comes down to what is best for each individual. Demo, demo, demo and then you'll know what is best for YOU and not others.

LF Ultras, no diggity, no doubt

7890303 01-04-2007 7:10 PM

Hey wheres that beer? The bindings were year end discounts, bought for $200. I have Nice bindings & they work ok, but I come out of them when I bail, so I'm just looking for something to keep me in my boots. I guess if all else fails I can wakeskate instead.

wake_upppp 01-04-2007 7:18 PM

...beer in fridge...help urself

7890303 01-04-2007 7:28 PM

Thanks bro,.............aaaahhhhhhhhh,,burp..mmmmmmmmmm, beer.

wake_upppp 01-04-2007 7:36 PM

Jeff, loosen up those CWB goggles a bit, they're starving your brain of oxygen!

7890303 01-04-2007 7:56 PM

I can tell the Murray bindings are inferior to the Shane, Ronix cell, 3DS, etc, maybe I'll return em & kick down for something better. Hey Tim let me know where I can Demo some bindings. Like I said I have a good pair of bindings, I'm just looking for a better pair, possibly the best pair. Maybe theres no such thing?? Maybe I'll have another beer, then post a "whose better malibu or mastercraft thread" kick back w/ Sparky Jay & see what happens. Yo Sparky...another round?

wake_upppp 01-04-2007 8:00 PM

...ABSOLUTELY!

7890303 01-05-2007 8:16 PM

ok...ok...I returned the Murrays, just waiting for a company check. Went & tried on some "O'brien Radons" I liked the way they wrapped around my ankles, so I'm waiting to see what you say,.... Hey did anyone see where I set my beer?

andy_nintzel 01-06-2007 6:52 AM

That a BOY Mark! RADONS RULE! I rode them for two season, they are awesome. I recently made the switch to the Xenon you sould try them on as well.

Your mom goes to college.

7890303 01-07-2007 11:15 AM

I ended up getting the O'brien Radons, the price was right, & they felt pretty supportive around the ankle. whats the worst that could happen? I rock these for a year & buy another pair next year? no prob. Any more input on the Radons???

gene3x 01-07-2007 11:55 AM

I am gettin' me a set of Bad Ass Bruce Clem's so I can rock the rebel flag on my feet!

andy_nintzel 01-07-2007 2:48 PM

!The Radon’s are bad a$$ the rip. You will love them. They are super supportive, yet flexible enough to poke the Hell out of a Tailfish!
