I think every one knows that the Fusion products were not the best quality. But since I have them, I might as well keep them. Was considering having them rechromed. Does any one have experience with this. Also, where can I get new rubber inserts?

I agree with Sam.. If you plan to keep your rack just refinish and annodize. However, you might find that it will be cheaper to purchase new racks. What happened to your racks is they were what I call "cheap chromed".. Aluminum releases gases for a number of years, and it has to be "show chromed" to avoid pitting. Show Chrome just basically means it is dipped 3 plus times: this is very expensive. For this very reason: we only manufacture racks in polished aluminum or annodized aluminum

If you choose to purchase a new rack, just look for racks that are polished aluminum, or if you use your boat in salt or brackish water look for annodized aluminum.

Ken Land
Bullet Lines / Krypt Towers
www.bulletlines.com

(Message edited by bulletlines on February 09, 2009)
