Just brought our first 6.2L 450hp 24 Tomcat in... Did I go overboard with the flake?

wakereviews 04-17-2013 12:22 PM

yep, why don't you just send it up north to me and I'll take it off your hands.

bcrider 04-17-2013 12:26 PM

looks radtastic!

craigtxmc 04-17-2013 12:29 PM

I think I may have the first set of flake guide poles in Texas.. lol

Ian, I just need to send you wiring instructions and I can deliver it personally. Is it still snowing up there? It's miserable here. 85 and sunny.

snork 04-17-2013 12:30 PM

Well done Craig

tarek 04-17-2013 12:33 PM

I am digging it.. cant wait for some more Tomcat 24's up in our area..

sprocketeer 04-17-2013 12:46 PM

Nice...

simplej 04-17-2013 12:53 PM

I LOVE THIS!

not sure i could live with it for more than a few years though. i love flashy colors with black and white or gray.
hows the wake?

craigtxmc 04-17-2013 1:03 PM

Drives great and the wake is awesome. I haven't been in this one yet with the larger engine but I'm guessing it's going to be even better. You should try to go drive one. They will suprise ya.

migs 04-17-2013 1:07 PM

Incredible

baitkiller 04-17-2013 1:13 PM

How many rod holders does it have?

no real dealers up here unfortunately, i'd like to check them out for the fun of it

craigtxmc 04-17-2013 1:23 PM

Depends on how many people are in the boat...

I have a 23 coming that is very close to this, day yum it looks great, the plan is coming together and mine will be in the Indmar pavilion at the PWT event in Charlotte NC May 30 to June 1. The builder only lets you put lime, no flake but mine will be the same green flake, looks great and that trailer is something else !!!! Nicely done Craig !

craigtxmc 04-17-2013 1:26 PM

Thank you sir.

UNvisible 04-17-2013 1:30 PM

black out the tower, windshield, MB, and tomcat logos, and make metal flake a dark/deep blue, and it would be purrrrrrrfect.

UNvisible 04-17-2013 1:30 PM

take that back, windshield is already blacked out, well done :)

UNvisible 04-17-2013 1:31 PM

craig, anyway you could flip up the passenger seats and take a picture of the storage areas? I cannot find any interior pictures of the 24..

craigtxmc 04-17-2013 1:32 PM

Thank you. Just so happens I received notice that MB will no longer offer any sort of powder coating.

craigtxmc 04-17-2013 1:34 PM

I'll get some for you tomorrow sir.. We just took the boat over to an event tonight.. By the way, any of you guys in DFW area, we are going to be at free music concert at Capital Grill in Fort Worth set up in VIP area so stop by and say hello...

About time! My boat showed up with the powder coating damaged on the windshield frame. That's when I learned that its not covered under the warranty regardless of if the boat was ordered with it or not.

WakeDirt 04-17-2013 8:06 PM

Craig,
Do you guys still have any of the 23' classics you posted a while back? Green one in particular?

04-17-2013 8:16 PM

Just a little late to st pattys day. Lol. That boat looks fine as hell though.

fman 04-17-2013 8:26 PM

Nice looking MB, I really like there new forward facing towers, imo, a huge improvement from there older style. Interior turned out great too, MB is making a great product! That rear facing seat behind the driver seat is money...

ralph 04-17-2013 8:27 PM

That looks fantastic. How does the interior cabin space compare to the X-star? Looks big in the photos

jeff_mn 04-18-2013 7:39 AM

So much sex.

wakecumberland 04-18-2013 8:16 AM

Looks great! I think it turned out even better than the 21 Tomcat you did in green flake.

FunkyBunch 04-18-2013 8:26 AM

Craig that is the best looking 24 I have seen yet nice job.

CHern5972 04-18-2013 9:05 AM

Very Sharp Craig. Great Color Combo

cbarguy1 04-18-2013 1:04 PM

Well done Craig. I'm not a greenie but I like it. The MB's keep getting better every time I see one. What's asking $$ on something like that?

johnboyy7 04-18-2013 1:18 PM

i need more pictures to tell. :) looks nice.

nautiquesonly 04-18-2013 1:18 PM

Best looking MB I have seen. I think it is because it doesn't have the giant x on the side. I have never cared for that graphic because I thought it was a little unoriginal.

Wow you almost copied it color for color this is my design I picked up in January But i ordered it with the 550 hp and does this SOB run

bass10after 04-18-2013 8:21 PM

They make some of my favorite boats but man I wish that tower update had turned out better. I was hoping it'd grow on me but doesnt seem to be the case- the black powder coat on Cody's does help... They look great from the neck down though!

Anyone else find it the name of the thread ironic? Guess he doesn't venture any actual questions unless it's some form of compliment, just uses ww as free marketing.... Oh so cliche

andrew_moreton 04-21-2013 6:47 PM

I was there on Saturday and the 23 WB with the white/lime/black classic color scheme was still there. Although someone was test driving it while I was riding the cable.

WakeDirt 04-21-2013 7:42 PM

Thanks Andrew

andrew_moreton 04-22-2013 7:11 AM

It looked great on the water and on the trailer. Go check it out.

garveyj 04-22-2013 9:58 AM
