I am looking to get a new board and was looking at the substance or the absolute. I can go W2W and pull some basic grabs and spins. I am looking for more pop than my '02 rhythm 141 but i still want to be able to control it. I am looking for a board that will help me progress

don't know much about the substance, but ask anyone who rides an absolute and they will go on forever about it, i know a few people who swear by it.

I picked up the '06 Substance 138 yesterday, I haven't had a chance to ride it yet but I've heard great things about it. The only negative thing I've heard is that it has some hard landings, but I believe that it is the same with alot of 3-stage rockers. Also, I love the graphics.

I ride the substance. smooth, loose when you need it to be, real light. But I rode an absolute once or twice and well I'd get that one also, just not sure if I'm on the Connely bandwagon yet. But it WAS a sick board. Can't go wrong either way. Look at who covers what under their warranty and then basically what you can get a better deal on.

Brennan
