I am 5'9'' and 135 pounds. I want a 3ds for next summer. I expect I will be around 145 pounds. And I plan to have the board for at least 3 years. Have any suggestions on what size? 135 or 139?

the 39 .... i am 5 8 and 135lbs and right now i ride a 03 premier 135... next year i plan on riding a 38 or 9.... just my thoughts

i do like my 135 but i have ridden my buddies 138 substance and i didnt even notice a difference in size when i was spinning or flipping.... a lot fast and feels better on the water b/c it sits on the water a little bit higher and more pop

have fun!

The 3DS rides big, I would go with the 135. But if you can demo, that would be ideal. But if you plan on getting much bigger in the next 3 years then the 139 would be fine.

I ride the 139, and weigh 155 or so. I love the landings, and the board works great for me (once I took off those crazy sharp fins and put some P-wings on instead)

I rode with JD Webb at a clinic and he rides the 135, so I see nothing wrong with you riding the shorter board.

allright, thanks
Either way but the 139 should be kinder to your knees. Also, get rid of those knifes under the board and get some P-wings...the .8's work great.

The 39 will give you room to grow and as earlier stated land softer. I concur on the fins although Chad Sharp rides with .7 A wings. It loosens the board up but it will still track the same.

I ride the 139 and I'm 6'2 180 and the board is perfect for me...even with the razor sharp dagger fins...just watch out for the vinyl on the boat. I bought the 3ds w/ the 05 HL parks and am now consistantly doing w2w (got up for the first time in july)...plus it's nice and nymbal for the surface trick. Someone mentioned how soft the landings were...and it's no joke, it's a great ride.
