im looking at a 2003 supra 22ssv...it's got about 300 hours on it and they are asking around 33k for it....anyone out there have any issues, opinions, or comments on this boat...any info would be helpful....it runs great and everything works well...price look good?

whitlecj 04-07-2008 8:31 AM

NADA shows a Low retail of $32k and an Average retail of $36k so that seems about right. I would still try to get them down some though if possible.

I think that price is high at 33k...at least in my area. You should be able to get that in the high 20's.

I found a great deal two years ago and bought my 04 SSV for $34k. 74 hours.

....I agree with Adam....

ncboarderboy 04-07-2008 9:34 AM

What are the options?

lknboarder 04-07-2008 9:40 AM

As the others said that sounds like a high price for that boat with that many hours on it try to get them down to something like 27K

ridininmd 04-07-2008 10:38 AM

"with that many hours"??
300 hours on a 03 is low
Depending on options it sounds about right. Obviously try to talk them down but it's not way out of line.

ncboarderboy 04-07-2008 11:46 AM

the nada on my 03 ssv is something like 36k-39k but it pretty much has all the options

absoluteboarder 04-07-2008 12:00 PM

....it is more important what boats sold for than what they listed at or what nada says......you could buy a 2006 21 v supra for between 36-39. 2 years ago I offered 27500 for a mint cond. 22ssv with 100 hours on it and my offer was accepted. If you really hunt around and ask people what their boat sold for and watch the market for a long time you will see how prices drop a couple of thousand every few months. 33000 is not out of line.....but then neither is negotiating...and 27000 is a nice place to start.

we have the same boat, no problems, at almost 500 hours. love the wakeboard wake, nice and steep.

Jarrod, is it the boat at water ski boats dallas. marty is great to deal with. if it is that boat i am sure there is some play with the price. he has had that one for a while.

jperkinsttu 04-07-2008 1:17 PM

yes it is insuranceman...it's pretty much loaded with everything that i think you need...tower/speakers/ballast/cover...etc it is a great looking boat and i have kept my eye on it for a while, so hopefully i can see what i can do with it

wake1823 04-07-2008 1:51 PM

Your obviously going to pay more 9/10 times buyign from a dealer. Unless the dealer totally hosed the persone trading the boat in.

jperkinsttu 04-07-2008 2:01 PM

i realize that but for me it's worth it with bank issues and getting titles from people and their banks in the past has been more of a burden than i care to deal with anymore

^^^^try key bank, very painless when buying private party.
