Yes they are the same save for the enclosure. They have gotten nothing but excellent reviews. I've heard them in person and thought they sounded very good but it was in an enclosed environment. The big difference with them and other 6.5" HLCD's is that they can be easily removed in just a few seconds and or swiveled. Also the wires are completely hidden in the tower and mount for them and they come with nice neoprene covers. Exile provides excellent customer service.
The other offereings in this category (6.5" Pro audio) are also very good. Bullet 650's and Wetsounds both make an excellent product with great customer service. I have the Bullet 770's and love them for both their looks and amazing sound but I'd love to be able to remove them as easily as one can the Exile product. Its honestly pretty hard to make a bad decision with any of these, its just all in what you are looking for.
