Looking to buy a longboard
 

Skateboard. I've never been a skater, but I love to wakeboard and snowboard, so why not?

Any recommendations? Not looking to go crazy down hill. Just looking for a good cruiser. Thx!

I have an arbor drop thru that's a bit stiffer ride so it's more stable that I really enjoy, it was fun for bombing the parking garage at school! If you're just looking to cruise go with something a touch stiffer, it will be easier on you if you don't know how to skate.

I have a landyachtz board. The one I have has a really bouncy top and is made for cruising.....similar to this. http://www.landyachtz.com/D25.cfm?PID=556 . Not sure if you can get landyachtz in the US though as they are Canadian made. Otherwise Sector 9 is probably the most popular brand. Side note: I always find it funny because my buddies and I longboarded back in the late 90's early 2000's before anyone else around really did.....where I live anyway. Now that's all you see kids with.

Landyachtz. Yes, you can get them in the U.S. IMO, a complete from Landyachts is worth the money and better than anything I've personally ridden.

Recommend soft wheels for the cruising, less noise, smoother ride, and takes rougher roads better. I like the Bamboo Stout

Try Loaded Longboards. Made in Cali. I have a Tan Tien for two years now and I recommend this deck. Flexy, responsive, nice concave and overall super fun to ride.

I have a comet grease shark and a loaded tan tien that I use frequently. I also recommend loaded. I've had a tan tien for 4 years now and while I love it, I wish the standing platform was just a little longer so I could ride with the same stance that I use when I snowboard/wakeboard.
Luckily loaded came out with basically that just over a year ago -> called a dervish sama.

Can't go wrong with Paris 180cm Trucks/Bones Reds Bearings and Orangatang 80a Wheels. Try the stimulus wheels if you want to learn how to slide, try the inheats if you want to carve harder/go faster.
