I just received my new 2009 Watson CT bindings and I'm experiecing some heel lift from the boot off of the board. They changed up the mounting plate from 2008 to 2009 and it seems like a change for the worse. The new plate uses a "tooth" type of mount to attach the boots to the board. It seems like this new plate isn't as strong as last years model and is allowing the plate to flex which is causing the heel of the boot to lift from the board.

Has anyone else notcied this? Here are some pics of the 2008 and 2009 boots so you can see what I'm talking about.

The one piece 6 plate that CWB brought to the market last year will be the norm. no heel lift, easy on and off, light, low maintenance, etc...
Ronix already copied them, the others will follow.

Well I've been in contact with Liquid Force and they have been nothing short of outstanding in helping me out. I'm sure the new plates will be fine for most riders and maybe even preferred since they are lighter. I've just gotten used to the feel of last years plates and I'm not looking to change. To accomodate me they are going to ship me a set of last years plates that will work with my 2009 Watsons.

The 2009 Watson's by the way are sick! They are much more supportive and better fitting than the 2008 model.

Thank you Liguid Force!
