I use them and they work way better than the sraight ones, at least for my boat.

I use $4 bumpers from k-mart. <BR>I get nice new clean ones every year. <BR>

A friend of mine and I built some dock stays for our boats. They are 2" PVC pipe with caps on the ends. We drilled holes in each end and fed a rope through them and then looped it back in at one end. Covered each end with Gator grip also. You take the end with the loop and hook it over something on the dock, then tie the other end (no loop) to you boat cleats. Then you just tie off the front and back at angles and it keeps your boat away from the dock, even with big wakes hitting it. Overton's sells them, but we built two sets for half of what they want for one set. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by chris_hargis on February 28, 2003)

I use those on a malibu sunsetter lxi. They especially work great when tied up to a larger boat due to the fact my freeboard is farely low. <BR> Randy

I use the flat square fenders. They take up less room and work as good. <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65921/56090.jpg" alt="">

I use the curved ones and they work great, especially when a dock is too high for a ski boat. I'm not sure if the flat ones would help in that situation.
