Injuries this year have been crazy. IT is hard to have a good fantasy team. I just made a trade in one of my leagues and half the guys in the 6 person deal got hurt this weekend. I traded Vick, Andre Johnson and Blount for Demarco Murray, Julio Jones and Schaub. Schaub done and Jones could be hurt for a while and Vick broke his ribs. I think we both got shafted on the trade.

hatepain 11-14-2011 8:01 PM

^^^My starting line up has about 2 or 3 originol players from the draft, descimated with injuries this year. Only think I can think of is the lockout because thery sure aren't letting them hit at all this year. Its F'ing pathetic!

ttrigo 11-14-2011 8:24 PM

I had 4 guys out this weekend, not including Desean Jackson who was out for another reason. this season sucks for fantasy! (although my WW team isnt doing too bad.)

Yeah, that was a rough week for my predictions. But, as long as my Niners are winning I'm not complaining!

I think the 49ers will win the west easy. They should be the #2 seed almost as easily as winning the west.

ponder86 11-15-2011 3:51 PM

^^^ Yeah, they have two more tough games against Baltimore and Pittsburgh...winning the west won't be a problem. I'm just hoping for home field advantage in the playoffs.

I can't stand how much ESPN sucks his balls but you are right. The guy just wins games. I have no idea how he does it, but he wins. He is also a really good person. Maybe that is why I don't like him? J/K

Tebow beats teams with losing records. Tebow "wins games that barely touch double digits.... I am willing to bet John Fox and Elway sat down and took a look at the Broc's schedule and said, "If we put Tebow in, where in the season does he get a few softballs to crank out of the park so we don't look like *******s?" I 100% truthfully think I could go onto any NFL team and complete 2 passes in 60 minutes (1 may not be for a TD but hey, I can get 2 completions).

.... it was a perfect storm - Play Orton at GB, which he'll probably lose.... now its Tebow time with 3 of the next 4 games being ****ty teams.... that way we'll look like we made the right choice and shut people up.

He has played one good team, the lions.... what was the score of that game? 45-10.

I really wished he would have started against Greeny Bay.... Brady Quinn would probably be playing right now.

seattle 11-18-2011 7:11 AM

So much hate towards Tebo... I just don't get it. Even if he's no more than a freakish good luck charm, they're winning games when he's on the field. If i were a Bronco fan that's all I'd be givin a s**t about.

My pics

My Hawks take Dave's Rammies down in their house.

As much as I hate to admit it San Fran is gonna get another win against the Cards.

cwb4me 11-18-2011 10:02 AM

The Jets aren't a bad team and they don't have a losing record.Let's see where the Jets,Lions and Bronco's are at the end of the year.Still haven't seen a team that can compete with Green Bay.The season isn't over yet either. There may still be a suprise team at the end of the year.I just don't think it will be the Eagles[Dream Team].;)

wakeworld 11-20-2011 10:08 AM

Ok, Cliff. Rams vs. Seachickens today. I know that you usually initiate some sort of bet, but I can understand why you would be hesitant to do so this year. Loser has to change their profile pic to one of them wearing the winner's hat for a month?

You cannot be more wrong. Elway and company dislike Tebow and wanted him to fail from the start. They continually set him up for failure, and yet he suceeds with a zero talent team.

Sorry Mr Elway, but Tim Tebows stats through 8 starts BLOW YOURS AWAY.

Elway. 3-5, 1,041 passing yards, 3 tds - 10 ints, 92 rushing yards, 1 rushing td
Tebow 5-3, 1,281 passing, 10tds -4ints, 550 rushing, 5 rushing tds

When Tebow has two superbowls this will matter.

mjfan23 11-20-2011 12:37 PM

Just a statement... No one gives Tebow time to develop. If he struggles everyone is on his ****.

Tebow was thrown into the fire and still manages to win games. He has zero talent surrounding him. His best WR is who? Eric Decker!? Both Running backs out......

Tebow has 2 quality wins imo this season. He has A LONG way to go, but there has never been a QB under the microscope hes under.

I will say if you are gonna beat the niners you better have a great quarterback. If not, you are toast. They totally manhandled Arizona. If they just tightened a few things up they win that game by 40. It is bringing me back to the old days when the Niners just dominated their opponents.

Ole Romos gibblets were just big enough to win on turkey day. Niners didn't need a great opposing qb to get their butts kicked. Detroit isn't mature enough to be great.

LSU made the Razorbacks look like chumps. Boston College slapped Miami around.

All these great games and theres still two days of ball left!

You can look at it two ways 25% is better than 50% or 75% wrong.YOU only pick 4 games at most.We are picking 16.And yes i got 25% wrong too,but got alot more right than you picked.

Was a little toooo good of a game... once they got the ball back at the end though I was certain it was over... they needed 50 or so yards to get to field goal range, had 90 or so seconds... childs play for Rodgers. The guy is insane, except his INT yesterday was just a terrible throw.... not sure what the hell happened.

Still can break Brady's record too! 3.25 TDs a game to tie

polarbill 12-05-2011 12:50 PM

It is still a long shot but the Hawks are still in the hunt for a playoff spot. Every team that is a potential wild card team for the NFC ahead of them lost yesterday. That includes the Giants, Dallas(one of these 2 will win the East so only one of them counts as a wild card potential team), Detroit, Chicago and Atlanta. With 4 games left they are 2 games back of all those teams except New York who they are only one game back of.

Chicago
-Chicago is in big trouble with the loss of Cutler and forte for at least a couple of games. They go to Denver who has God on their side and that seems to be enough to win. Then Seattle heads to Chicago. This will be an absolute critical game for both teams but without Forte or Cutler I think Seattle's D absolutely crushes Chicago, while Lynch and TJax do enough to get the win. This game could even be a huge blowout in favor of Seattle. Chicago then has to play at Green Bay. Green Bay way sit their starters with home field locked up but seeign as how they won the super bowl last year and are favorites this year why not go for an undefeated season? Chicago finishes at Minnesota which will be a tough game without Cutler and maybe without Forte.

@Denver-Loss
Seattle-Loss
@Green Bay-Loss(I think Green Bay goes for it)
@Minnesota-Loss(I just don't think they can win wihout their QB and Forte will be either out or nursing the injury)

They finish 7-9 and out of the playoffs.

Detroit
Detroit went from the darling to being a borderline wildcard team. Even though they are 1 and 3 in their last 4 those 3 losses were @Chicago(when they had forte and cutler and were lookign really good), against GB and at New Orleans. You can't really fault them for losing any of those games. Those are really good teams. The rest of their schedule looks pretty doable expecially if GB doesn't for the undefeated season. They host Minnesota which will be a tough in conference game but they should win being at home. At Oakland will be tough and home against San Diego will be tough but are very winnable. Then they finish with Green Bay but that is a tossup depending on what Green Bay does. Again, I think Green Bay will go for it so this should be a loss for Detroit.

Minny-Win
@Oakland-Loss
San Diego-Win
Green Bay-Loss

They finish 9-7.

NY Giants
The Giants were looking good but have dropped their last 4. Like Detroit 3 of those 4 games were against really tough teams. Actually 3 division winners and the best 3 teams in the NFC. They still have to play Dallas twice and the Jets. I think they will finish ok.

@Dallas-Loss
Washington-Win
@ the Jets-Loss
Dallas-Win

That would get them to 8-8 and on the bubble.

Dallas
Dallas is currently 7-5 and sitting atop the East but have been inconsistant and lost this last weekend to a crappy Arizona team. They play the Giants twice, the Eagles(In full melt down. Dream team my a$$) and at Tampa. I guess I could see the Eagles actually tryign to play but not sure. @TB will be tough if Freeman is back and TB is running the ball good.

Giants-Win
@TB-Win
Philly-Win
@NY-Loss

Finish 10-6 and win the East.

Atlanta
Atlanta was the hot pick before the season started and kind of dissapointed early. That being said they don't really have a bad loss. GB, NO and Houston are all good teams and TB is a tough divisional game that was on the road. They have a mediocre schedule left. I see one for sure win against Jacksonville, 2 winnable but tough games against Carolina and TB and one game that should be a loss against NO who will be fighting for a 1st round bye.

@Carolina-Loss(I think Cam is going to pull a surprise here and get the win)
Jacksonville-Win
@NO-Loss
TB-Win

They finish 9-7 but could finish 10-6 if they beat Carolina which is really possible.

Seattle
Seattle has been up and down but have been playing better as of late. They are 3-1 in their last 4. That Redskin loss at home could really come back to haunt them. They have a pretty easy schedule the rest of the way. Lynch has been running the ball well even with their right side of the line out. They are in big trouble with Okung now out for the season. They have 3 starting OL all out now. Hopefully Cable, being a really good OL coach, has coached the backups up enough to not have a huge downslide on the line play. If they are going to win it is going to have to be because the veteran backups play solid, Lynch can have some success and mostly that the D steps up big time.

St Louis-Win
@chicago-Win(I say win because forte and cutler will be out and I think they get enough production to win)
San Fran-Loss(SF will be playing for a bye unless NO slips up in the next 2 weeks and SF doesn't have to play to get a bye)
@Arizona-Win(My homer call is that Seattle beats Arizona even though Arizona currently is in the same position as Seattle. I think Arizona though is going to lose at least 2 of their next 3 games and going to be out of the playoff picture all togther.

Seattle finishes 8-8 and on the Bubble.

If this happens the NFC playoff picture looks like:

GB-divsional winner and a bye
SF-divisional winner and a bye
NO-Divisional winner
Dallas-Divisional winner

Detroit-9-7-Wild Card
Atlanta-9-7-Wild Card

Giants-8-8
Seattle-8-8
Chicago-7-9

Obviously I have Seattle losing out of hte playoffs by one game. If San Fran lets off the gas and somehow Seattle can beat them(Not likely because Harbaugh is a pompas ass and doesn't like Carrol I believe) then Seattle would finish 9-7 and should have the tie breakers if they go to divisional record as Seattle would be 5-1 in the NFC west and didnt' lose to Detroit. I would assume Atlanta has the tie breaker over Seattle because Atlanta beat Seattle. Other then that they need Atlanta or Detroit to slip up and drop to 8-8. It is a long shot though.

cwb4me 12-05-2011 5:09 PM

To this point.... I think they will too and I think they can do it.

Honestly from what I have seen there is no team, NFC or AFC that can beat them. Rodgers is just too darn good this year. The defense is shotty but they usually do just enough to win, and if they don't (see last week) Rodgers does the rest........ the only thing that really shocks me is the Packers still sort of pretend they have a running game, who are they trying to kid.

I see another superbowl in their future.

12-06-2011 9:20 AM

^ They said the same thing about the Pats. How'd that turn out?

They are unbelievable, but have yet to play a really dominate defense. It won't be as easy as everyone thinks.

Quote:

^ They said the same thing about the Pats. How'd that turn out?
This feels different than the Pats run at greatness.... theirs felt like it was mission they were on and maybe I'm bias, but this Packer runs feels like they're just playing and having fun.

Quote:

but have yet to play a really dominate defense
I would say them playing Chicago and Detroit are two fairly good defenses.... I would only think of 4 others I would put ahead of Chicago - 49ers, Steelers (I think their defense is worse than last year and Packers handled that just fine) ,Ravens (who have been off/on this year - ask the Jags), and Houston (who now doesn't have a pass game).

The only thing I would be worried is a shootout game (Saints or New England) when the difference in the game is a stupid special teams flub or something

12-06-2011 11:22 AM

Meh, Chicago and Detroit are both pretty average defensively. Chicago's defense has been overrated for years.

Chicago - 20th in total defense, 9th in points allowed
Detroit - 13th in total defense, 21st in points allowed

Like I said, they are unbelievable and I absolutely think they can make it happen, but they'll need to do it against better defenses come playoff time.

sidekicknicholas 12-06-2011 1:05 PM

Looking at the Playoff picture in the NFC today ( still very early for some of these names) I see this
1. Packers
2. 49ers
3. Saints
4. Cowboys
5. Bears
6. Falcons

so, #3 vs. #6 = I think Saints win
then
4 vs. 5 = I think Cowboys win because of Bear's injury issues

Cowboys vs. Packers = Packers
Saints vs. 49ers = Saints

NFC Championship - Packers vs. Saints = Packers
.... then for the AFC who effin' knows there. My vote is still Patriots to rep the AFC and I think Packers can outscore them

polarbill 12-06-2011 1:35 PM

Dang Nick, you think the Bears can win without their QB or RB(who also happens to be their best receiver)?

I think Detroit and the Giants are probably going to battle over that last spot in playoffs and that Atlanta has the best shot at making the playoffs. How have they not won more? They have a good QB, good WR's, a good RB, a good TE and a pretty good D.

I think they will lose to the Packers in week 16, but there other games are Seattle, Denver, and Vikings.... all of those are games that could be won even without Cutler and Forte.... I say they go at least 2-2 over these last 4.

Giants still have the Cowboys twice, the Jets (they're hot and cold), and Washington... I wouldn't say any of those are gimmies... I say 2-2 to finish the year if they're lucky

I think Atlanta is in for sure finishing the year 3-1 with Carolina, TB, Saints (most likely will lose), and Jacksonville.

San Fran takes Az down.

Seattle stomps the Rams.

Really curious how Chicago is going to fair considering their injuries. Hoping NY kicks the Cowboys ass.

polarbill 12-11-2011 4:29 PM

Tebow time. If Tebow is God then MB3 is the devil. That guy straight blew it not once but twice.

I am doing ok on my picks. I only have 3 losses so far today.

Hate has 4 losses, Robert on fire with only 1 loss today, NP3 with only 2 losses.

seattle 12-11-2011 6:04 PM

I'll take the missed pic in the Az / SF any day. San Fran is looked weak.

I hope they can still run the ball without Okung in there. St Loius's run d is horrible so they should. As for playoff hopes they were pretty much crushed yesterday. Minnesota could of won but didn't, Dallas blew it and Carolina blew it. If we win tonight Atlanta and Detroit are both 2 games ahead of us, Dallas and NY are both a game ahead of us and Chicago is a game ahead of us. I suppose if Dallas implodes and Chicago keeps losing we got a shot. Detroit sure looks to have 2 games they could easily lose and another road game against Oakland. We almost assuredly need Detroit to lose all 3 of there last games. I just don't see us winning these last 4 games although it could happen. San Fran does look beatable now. They have to play a tough pittsburg team and then play us in Seattle. It is going to be a tough game for Seattle though since we are down 3 of our starting O lineman and their D is awesome. We will basically have to beat them with our D and special teams. The 12th man may be just enough to tip the scales in our favor.
