fman made a post in this thread: Other benefits to Surf Gate?My vlx with surfgate drives in reverse just as crappy as my 2011 did. Surfgate has made no noticeable difference in how the boat drives in forward or reverse. Maybe the MXZ is different but I would think both boats would be similar.

Regarding WD-40, I don't think its a problem if you run the boat on a fake a lake ...

fman made a post in this thread: Ballast and other things in Malibu VLXI had a 2011 VLX and now own a 2013 VLX. First recommendation would be to calibrate your speedometer with a GPS. Both of my boats were off on the speedo setting... My 2013 was about +1.2, there is a setting in the Maliview to calibrate the speed...

fman made a post in this thread: 2013 wakesetter LSV23 with G3 Tower and Z5RackAfter looking at those pictures, imo, the Z5 on a G3 just looks awkward and out of place. It looks small and appears to not provide good shade coverage. For the cost of them, I would go with other alternatives.
