Ballast Setup:
Plumbed in 3 zone auto ballast (400 under floor in nose, 400 rear locker, 400 under rear seat). Two 750s (manual pumps for now but not long) either side of engine, all the way back. Throw another 3-500 lbs bag in the nose.
Stereo Setup:
Mix and matched, sony head unit with remote control at drivers seat, clarion EQ, 4x Kicker 6.5" tower speakers (two enclosures, each two speakers). 4 Clarion in boat speakers, 12" sub under drivers seat. 3 Amps (one sub, one boats, one tower). 2x batteries and battery separator.

Really any inboard can be capable of surfing... it all depends on your expectations. You will not have a comparable wave to today's luxury surf machines, but you can definitely get out and ride. You'll probably have to plan on ballast on the rear ...

I think it's like Justin said... it's a calculated risk, but if you're going non-CGA you should at least get something that will provide decent floatation. With a CGA vest there is a standard to follow, hence the "A" in CGA standing for Approved....
