dyost made a post in this thread: Lightest / Stiffest Boots of 2016
The SS Rads are very light boots, probably comparable to Ronix at least when dry. I ride the 14 RADS and have a couple buddies who ride Ronix boots. I have noticed that the delta in weight between dry/wet board before/after a ride is greater on my...

dyost made a post in this thread: My First Boat : re prop question
Really depends on how much ballast you plan to run. If you're gonna sack that boat out then a different prop would probably help with the hole shot. Would venture a guess that anything less than 2000 lbs and you're probably fine with the stock. No...

dyost made a post in this thread: fast board for big guy
Probably don't need to go crazy big. Could be technique or wake also. Last summer I was able to surf a 5.0 board behind my 89 Supra Sunsport (so not a huge surf wake). I am 6'4" 230 and surfed with my 35lb 4yo daughter.

dyost made a post in this thread: Ford F 150 Eco Boost v. 5.0 V8
Jeremy, you are right, the 2.7 does awesome with my boat, and will get awesome mileage (ok respectable for a vehicle that size) everywhere else. Really happy with my purchase so far. I would have never thought to buy such a small engine in a fu...

dyost made a post in this thread: Ford F 150 Eco Boost v. 5.0 V8
Thanks for the quick response guys. Well I pulled the trigger on a new 2015 2.7L. Before I bought though, a dealer had given me an overnight test drive. I hooked up my boat and tugged it around for awhile in the morning before I returned it. It a...

dyost made a post in this thread: Ford F 150 Eco Boost v. 5.0 V8
I'm looking at possibly going with a 2.7L, the dealers in my area seem to have lots of them and you seem to get better pricing. My trip to the lake is about 10 miles. Maybe 1-2 long trips per year but thats it, tend to hit the local lake more than...

dyost made a post in this thread: Ford F 150 Eco Boost v. 5.0 V8
Know this thread is a little old. I'm assuming all these EcoBoost experiences are on the 3.5L? Anyone have any experience with the 2.7L Ecoboost? I tow an 89 Supra sunsport, I'm guessing weights around 4500-5000 lbs on the trailer (Factory dry w...

dyost made a post in this thread: Best, Latex rubber gloves???
Grant, acetone will melt right through the Grease Monkey gloves. I bought a thicker pair of chemical rubber gloves for anytime I'm handling something nasty, but for typical stuff like painting or oil changes I use the Grease Monkey ones and hav...

dyost made a post in this thread: Wakeboard Leash
I actually think this is a very good idea.... In my mind I'm envisioning something like a surf leash, which is not stretchy and does not recoil. If you bail hard enough to come out of your bindings I think the water stops all your momentum pretty ...
