Didn't mean to parrot Joe's idea (didn't read all the responses, my bad!). But education! Even the most naturally talented rider can fall victim to injury, and then you might be done, especially if you are just scraping by and thus have no health...

I'm not sure to what extent you might be academically inclined, but the best of both worlds might be to get into Rollins college in Orlando. There is a very active ski/boarding scene there, and this would probably be one of the easiest ways to me...
